Point A Hotel Edinburgh Review

 Complimentary stay

I was recently invited to an evening event in Edinburgh, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to check out the new Haymarket Point A Hotel. With it's stunning decor, affordable prices and great location, it is ideal for anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Travel: Edinburgh Day Out

The spending money was gifted to me by Hotels.com, but all views are my own.

I love a good staycation and we have stayed in some lovely Edinburgh hotels before, but last Saturday we headed to the capital for a day trip, with our fingers crossed for good weather. We were really lucky, as the whole car journey and the time we spent in Edinburgh were filled with sunshine and we had a fab day taking in the architecture and views. We also indulged in some yummy vegan food and delicious mocktails and checked out some shops we don't have in Glasgow (Anthropologie, Harvey Nichols etc). Perfect!

Travel: Sky Garden London

When I was planning our first proper trip to London, the Sky Garden was one of the top places I wanted to visit. Offering beautiful 360° views of London and an amazing garden in the sky as the name suggests, I simply couldn't miss it!

Christmas Gift Guide: Red Letter Days Gift Voucher

Sometimes picking a Christmas gift is quite a hard task, especially when the person you're buying for is fussy or already has everything you can think of! That's why gifting experiences is a great idea and the Red Letter Days gift vouchers are one of the options in this case.

By Chloe Covent Garden London

I want to share more vegan food reviews this years, so what better way to start than By Chloe in Covent Garden! We visited at the end of 2018 during our mini trip to London and it was delicious, with one unexpected twist...

Glasgow Loves Christmas Day Out 2018.

Last Thursday I attended a festive day out with Glasgow Loves Christmas and we visited some fabulous places, including restaurants, shops and the Christmas market. I adore Glasgow in December, even when it's busy with people shopping for gifts. It always looks stunning and never fails to make me excited for Christmas.

Moxy Glasgow

Last week I attended a blogger sleepover at the brand new Moxy Glasgow and I asked Ellis to be my +1 for the evening/night. We had so much fun! The hotel with it's playful vibe was a perfect setting for all the activities the team had planned for us and we enjoyed every minute.

Unity Diner - Non Profit Vegan Diner in London

When I was planning our trip to London, Unity Diner in Hoxton was on the top of my list of places to eat and we went right after arriving at Euston station. It's a non profit restaurant founded by the incredible Earthling Ed who inspires me daily to be a better human. All of the profits from Unity Diner go directly towards funding the animal rights organisation Surge as well as the development of a brand new rescue sanctuary for animals just outside of London. The cause itself is a reason to visit, but the food... Oh my god... It was absolutely incredible!

The East London Hotel Review

Last weekend we visited London for the first time and we had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened The East London Hotel. The hotel is located in Bethnal Green and only 13 minutes from Central London by Tube.  The overall feel of the hotel is very stylish and the rooms are comfortable and designed with modern comforts in mind.

Strathaven Hot Air Balloon Festival 2018

We recently took the kids to a yearly Hot Air Balloon Festival at Strathaven's John Hastie Park, as we stay a short drive away and I have always wanted to attend it, but never got round to it.  I didn't anticipate how busy it was going to be, but I am really glad we went. The balloons looked incredible and there were loads of attractions.

Cirque Du Soleil Ovo at Glasgow SSE Hydro

A few weeks ago, I was kindly invited to see Cirque Du Soleil's OVO at SSE Hydro in Glasgow and I thought I would share some of the photos and my thoughts and feelings about this incredible show, as you can still see them in the UK till the end of October!

Macdonald Inchyra Hotel Spa Day review

Last Sunday we had the pleasure of visiting the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa for a day of  indulgence and relaxation and believe it or not - it was my first ever spa experience! We had a lovely day and it was actually my husbands birthday, so it was the perfect treat!

Travel: Weekend in Wales

Back in February, we packed our bags and drove from Scotland to Wales for a relaxing weekend in a lovely cottage which we arranged via GuestToGuest. It was a 6 hour drive each way, but we absolutely love road trips and after travelling with the kids to France and Poland a few times it was nothing to worry about.

Day out at Soar Intu Breahead and Vegan Pizza Express Lunch

We recently went out for a super fun day at the newly renovated Soar at Intu Breahead and I am so impressed with the new modern look! The ‘space trees’underneath a ceiling of stars and a ‘light box’ wall showing all the constellations in space look incredible! We went to a chocolate workshop with Zachary, bounced at the new Gravity Trampoline Park, had vegan lunch at Pizza Express and finished with some mini golf.

Glasgow Day Out (Science Centre, Jamie's Italian + Buchanan Galleries).

As we are now back in Scotland, I thought I would finally share our day out in Glasgow which happened over a month ago, but I simply didn't have time to talk about it. We visited the Science Centre which Zachary absolutely loved, followed by lunch at Jamie's Italian and a spot of shopping at Buchanan Galleries.

Travel: Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens

We're currently on holiday, but I found some time to catch up with my blog and I found this blog post saved in my drafts- our Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens photo diary. We went a few times and I absolutely love it there. With or without kids, it's an amazing place to visit if you're in Edinburgh and the entry is free.

Jurassic Kingdom and Tea-Rex Party (Glasgow Botanic Gardens)

Keeping a 6 year old amused is becoming harder and harder, as he finds a lot of stuff boring, so I was really keen to take him to the Jurassic Kingdom at Glasgow Botanic Gardens to see some real size dinosaurs and attend an opening party with a special guest Dr Neil Clark, the Hunterian Museum’s Curator of Palaeontology.

TRAVEL: Emma Bridgewater Factory Tour

Last but not least... I am sharing part 3 of my Emma Bridgewater experience - the factory tour! We have booked it separately, as the day packages were all sold out on the date I wanted and at a cost of £2.50 per person which is then redeemable against factory shop purchases - it is the most amazing deal!

TRAVEL: Princes Street Suites Edinburgh

Hi everyone. I love reviewing hotels on the blog, so when we were asked to take part in a Kidsadvisor campaign with Princes Street Suites Edinburgh, we jumped at the chance.

Glasgow Day Out: Kimble's breakfast, St Enoch Centre, Kelvingrove Museum, Baffo Lunch and Riverside Museum.

I recently got a very exciting email from Glasgow Life, inviting me, my husband and the kids to take part in two days out in Glasgow, packed with activities for the little ones and some yummy food. We couldn't say no! Here's day 1 our little adventure.
