Moxy Glasgow

Last week I attended a blogger sleepover at the brand new Moxy Glasgow and I asked Ellis to be my +1 for the evening/night. We had so much fun! The hotel with it's playful vibe was a perfect setting for all the activities the team had planned for us and we enjoyed every minute.

Moxy is situated on High Street, right next to High Street Station and you can either get a connecting train or just just walk from Central or Queen Street train station as well as Buchanan Bus Station in around 10 minutes. You can't really miss it, the sign is a bright neon pink!

The lobby of the hotel is perfect for socialising and there's plenty of sitting areas, cosy nooks, working stations, desks, games etc. There's a large screen where you can chill and meet new people and food and drink are available available 24/7, which is amazing!  You don't have to stay at the hotel for the night to enjoy it, so if you fancy a place where you can get some work done on your laptop, it will work perfectly for that too. But believe me, its worth staying in one of the beautiful rooms!

The modern, millennial-focused aesthetic and an affordable price tag make it a perfect hotel for city breaks and I will definitely keep it in mind when travelling abroad. Moxy have hotels in USA, Europe and Asia.

Now let me tell you about the sleepover! We arrived around 18.00, checked in and headed to our room to change into PJ's. I now wish we wore matching ones, but we didn't think it through. The fun started at 19.00 with a scavenger hunt for cocktail ingredients and all sorts of cocktail making tools and we were split into two teams. Out team got the least items but we managed to create the most delicious cocktail without a mixer and we won, haha. It was strong, but super tasty!

Next was the big reveal of a surprise in one of the rooms upstairs - oh my god... A room full of feathers and a giagantic white teddy bear, all ready for a pillow fight! I am still finding feathers in the most unexpected places, over a week later. We got some cute photos though and it was worth the mess. We left a trail of feathers everywhere we went that night.

Then it was time for a movie night and food and we watched Magic Mike XXL while eating nachos, pizza and popcorn and sipping on yummy cocktails. Our winning concoction was recreated by the Moxy team and it tasted even better, yuuuuum!

After the movie night, we went up to our rooms and of course we ended up chatting till 3am, because that's what happens at girly sleepovers, haha. Thankfully the bed was so comfy I actually got a really good sleep and woke up feeling fab.

Next morning, we headed downstairs for breakfast and the selection of food was amazing. I had a few of the vegan options: classic beans on toast, fruit salad and some coffee with soya milk. There's a cereal bar and plenty of toppings for your granola, so there's something for everyone. And if you don't have any special dietary requirements, you will be in heaven, as the breakfast buffet is fully stocked with anything you can think of!

I absolutely loved the look of the room  with modern art and playful touches. It was definitely designed with millenials in mind. Plenty of space, big TV, blackout blinds, modern bathroom and a super comfy bed. Everything you need to make your hotel stay as comfortable as possible. I am really impressed.

You can see all the photos below. I might have took hundreds, but I managed to narrow it down to 40, haha. There was just so much going on and so many cool things to photograph.

Overall, we had an amazing time and the new Moxy is a great addition to what Glasgow already has to offer and in the perfect city centre location. You can book HERE.

Have you stayed at any of the Moxy hotels yet?
