FlexiSpot E8 Standing Desk review

This post features gifted products and affiliate links.

Sitting at a desk for long periods of time isn't the most pleasant experience and can cause a lot of health problems. From a bad back and swelling in your legs, to problems with circulation and weak muscles. I have always wanted a proper standing desk which I can adjust to suit my height and the FlexiSpot E8* Standing Desk is absolutely perfect for my needs.

AD: Interior Style Tips Based On Your Star Sign

This is a paid advertisement for fishpools.co.uk
I am always switching things up in the house and I don't think I will ever be fully happy with it, till I actually get to design my own property from scratch. From little changes like adding new art, cushions or throws, to painting the walls a different colour, I have done it all and I am always thinking of a new project. But did you know that your star sign can influence your aesthetic taste? Interesting, right?

Coffee time

I cannot live without my Nespresso coffee machine and I always look for new compatible pods to use with it. There's plenty to choose from on the market and my recent batch is from Real Coffee who offer a big variety of blends and flavours for Nespresso and Dolce Gusto machines.

Bloom Magic Flower Delivery #AD

I turned 31 last weekend and I was lucky to receive these stunning flowers from Bloom Magic* to brighten up my day. They recently launched in the UK, offering high-quality hand-tied bouquets with opulent touches and I am absolutely in love with this luxe composition.

Home Decor: pink accents in the bedroom.

I have been drawn to blush pink  colours lately and I decided to experiment a bit and add some pink and mauve accents to the greys and whites in the bedroom and I am in love with the way it all looks together. It's mostly thanks to the stunning new prints from Posterlounge, as you can see, but also some new cushions etc.

Season's Cleanings

With Christmas only days away, I am secretly relieved that I am not hosting any guests this festive season. I get myself all worked up and panic and as a self confessed hoarder, I always have a lot of organising to do. The team at Vorwerk asked me to take part in their Season’s Cleanings campaign, designed to reveal the lengths people go to when it comes to impressing guests and I am going to tell you all about my cleaning habits.

Home decor: New living room additions.

Our living room is absolutely massive, so we had to fill it with loads of furniture and decor bits to make it feel homely. Our walls were still pretty bare though, so I was very excited to add some new prints from Desenio to make them look more aesthetically pleasing.

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Movenza review.

I love coffee and I have a Nespresso Citiz coffee machine in the kitchen , but I've always liked the idea of having a little coffee setup in the bedroom upstairs, so I was delighted to get the new Dolce Gusto Movenza*(£179.99) to make our mornings a little bit nicer.

Home: Simba Mattress Review

As my little boy isn't so little anymore, we decided to upgrade him to a proper full size single bed, instead of a junior one. We've had a bit of drama with the logistics of the switch though and haven't received the bed yet, so we are using the fab Simba mattress* without a base and Zac is absolutely loving it! His exact words were ' it is sooooo comfy mummy! Can I keep it forever?'.

Home: VQ Emma Bridgewater Wallflower Retro Mini DAB+ Radio

You all know how much of an Emma Bridgewater addict I am, right? I am obsessed! My favourite EB pattern is Wallflower, so when the stunning VQ Retro Mini Radio* (£79.99) became available in my beloved design, I knew I had to have it.

Grey & White Festive Bedroom

I love traditional Christmas decor, but after having decorations with lots of red and gold for a really long time, I decided it was time to embrace 'white Christmas'. This included a new tree, new white and silver baubles etc (blog post coming soon) and I stuck to that theme in the bedroom too, with stunning grey bedding and white accents.

Christmas Gift Guide: Home Fragrance

How excited are you when it's time to light those Christmas candles? I burn some of mine all year round, because I love festive scents a lot, but I keep some special ones exclusive to December to create a nice atmosphere and lovely memories. Scent is a powerful thing, so it's pretty important to me to have my house smelling good. Here are some of my top picks for Christmas 2016.

Mathmos Neo Lava Lamp Review & Giveaway

I love home decor and unique pieces like this Mathmos Neo Lava Lamp* always catch my eye. They are becoming more popular again and with some of the modern designs looking absolutely gorgeous, I just couldn't resist giving one a home. Just look at this copper beauty! And.... I am giving one away too! YAY!

Kids bedroom tour

I am sure I promised a kids bedroom tour ages ago, but I never got round to taking the photos. You've seen bits and bobs on my instagram, but I really like having these kinds of blog posts to look back on, so here it is. The photos didn't turn out as good as I would like unfortunately, as the light has been terrible lately. I will try to link everything I can underneath the photos.

Home Sweet Home

I have been a bad blogger... Yep... I said it. I actually can't believe it, but I have only been blogging once or twice a week. And you know what? I am not even feeling guilty about it. I am sooo busy with regular mum stuff these days, breastfeeding, school run, healing my back, getting in shape and enjoying life, that blogging took a back seat. I am more relaxed and I have been doing bits and bobs to make the house feel more cosy. It's so nice to just write this, because I am feeling like it, not because I have a deadline. Here are some lovely decor bits I purchased recently that I just adore, including some great bargains you might love!

Mia's Big Girl Cot (Little Green Sheep Mattress & Mattress Protector Review)

When Mia grew out of her Snuzpod (insert sad face), I decided to get her a new cot bed as the mattress in the travel cot I used for Zachary had to be replaced anyway. I opted for the simple Ikea Gulliver Cot, as you can convert it to a toddler bed easily and I liked the white wood.

Home Decor: Freestanding fireplace

With the weather going from hot to freezing and from sunshine to snow and hail stones, I thought it would be very appropriate to feature our lovely freestanding bioethanol fireplace. There is nothing worse than feeling freezing cold in the morning or when the evening is a bit chilly, so sitting by the fireplace with a hot cup of tea or cocoa sounds like perfection!

Frugi Bedding Review #frugifamily

The kids bedroom is my favourite room in the full house, as it is all white with pops of colour. The Sunny Days Bedding Set*(£59.00) from Frugi's gorgeous new SS16 collection goes perfectly with this theme and I absolutely love the way it looks. Most importantly, Zachary adores it too.

A little bedroom decor update + Leesa mattress review

We recently moved things around in the bedroom to accommodate our new super king size mattress, so I thought I will take some photos and do a little update, before we totally redecorate and switch Mia's co-sleeper to a full size cot.

Home decor: Living room update pt1

I don't think I have ever done a living room tour of the house we moved into over 2 years ago, but I recently redecorated, added new furniture, rugs and pops of colour, so I thought I will take some photos and share them with you.
