Travel: Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens

We're currently on holiday, but I found some time to catch up with my blog and I found this blog post saved in my drafts- our Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens photo diary. We went a few times and I absolutely love it there. With or without kids, it's an amazing place to visit if you're in Edinburgh and the entry is free.

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh was founded in 1670 as a physic garden, but it is now a world-renowned centre for plant science, horticulture and education, boasting a rich living collection of plants.

"To explore, conserve and explain the world of plants for a better future" is RBGE's mission and you can see how much care and attention all the grounds and plants get. Immaculate and perfect to let your little ones run wild. No bikes or scooters allowed, so they can walk around safely.

Zachary loved the massive trees.

How beautiful!

We also stopped for a quick bite in the Gateway Restaurant at RBGE  and the soup was yummy!

I can't wait to go back to Royal Botanic Gardens. It's such a beautiful place, very relaxing and perfect for family days out.

Have you visited?
