Sigma Fall Softly Lip Bases

When I saw a sneak peek of Sigma's new Fall Softly Collection, I was instantly drawn to the Sigma Fall Softly Lip Bases* (£8.95 each). The three stunning shades really appealed to me and considering my current matte lip liner obsession, I felt like a kid on Christmas Day when these arrived in the post.

OOTD: Black Jumper Dress & Floppy Hat

My most worn colour is definitely black. I probably wear it 90% of the time and I dress head to toe in black VERY often. I recently got this gorgeous Elvi Black Jumper Dress*  and I thought it was perfect to wear with an all black outfit. I might look like a widow, but I like that look a lot.

Giving Impress Nails Another Chance

I wrote about imPRESS Nails in the past and... I was not impressed. They were too big for my small(ish) nails and didn't stay on at all. I actually think I got a bad batch (they came in a beauty box) or they are simply hit and miss. I loved the fuss free application though, so I decided to give imPRESS another go.

Before And After 4 Glycolic Acid Peels at Skin Clinic Glasgow

glycolic acid peels glasgow skin clinic before and after
I mention my breakout prone skin in every single skincare review/feature. I get lots of breakouts on my jawline and neck and random ones allover my face due to many factors. They are mostly hormonal and get worse before 'that time of the month', but I am not planning to take any pills to deal with the issue. I decided to try glycolic acid peels though and I am finally ready to share my thoughts with you. Sorry, if it's all a bit rambly. I was nervous about putting the before and after photos up, but I hope it gives you an idea of what to expect. Remember, nobody's perfect :)

Caudalie Divine Oil & 1/3 off French Pharmacy Offer

I got my first bottle of Caudalie Divine Oil* (50ml, £18.00, £14.39) last Christmas and I fell in love. It smells absolutely incredible and feels very luxurious.

Love Me Beauty Makeover

I have always liked Love Me Beauty, but their new packaging took the box to a new level. It is very elegant and totally different to the old style cardboard box with coloured shredded paper inside. The new look features a stunning silver box with a drawstring bag and the way the subscription works is different too.

OOTD: Stripes and Denim

I wasn't sure what to wear with my orange and white stripy cardigan, but I went for denim look leggings, a black shirt, brown suede boots and a tan bag. What do you think?

The best beauty/lifestyle box on the market?

Everyone seems to be loving the new beauty and lifestyle box that launched in the UK recently - My Little Box. I love it too and I can't stop raving about it.

Sleek Makeup

You will find it hard to believe, but I haven't tried Sleek until I got their brow kit in a promo box from Boots a couple of weeks ago. Yep... I am such a bad beauty blogger, haha :) I have been meaning to pick up one of their contour kits and a matte lipstick for ages though and I finally got a chance to try them.

OOTD: Cobalt Blue and Leather

I very rarely wear smart clothes, but I really wanted to try something different and inject more colour into my wardrobe. I picked the Joanna Hope Blouse with PU Trim Collar* (£27.00) and Nightingales PU Pencil Skirt* (£33.00) and I styled them in two ways.

NARS Multiple in South Beach

I don't own many NARS products, but the  NARS Multiple in South Beach* (£30.00) has been on my wishlist since I read that Millie Mackintosh and J.Lo use it to achieve a gorgeous bronzed glow. I have been loving cream formulas lately, so this new addition to my makeup bag is just perfect.

Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses Giveaway

My favourite brand of sunglasses is definitely Dolce and Gabbana. For some reason, their frames always catch my eye and most importantly... suit my face shape. The latest additions to my collection are the Dolce and Gabbana 4192 Lip Gloss Sunglasses in Black*(£106.00) and I am slightly obsessed with them. I am also giving away a pair of D&G sunglasses to one of my lucky readers and you can find out how to enter below.

My Gallery Wall

I have been working on my gallery wall for a while. Collecting frames, prints etc. I am still unsure if I will add more bits and bobs to it, but I am happy with the way it looks at the moment. Actually... I am in love and I can't stop staring at it, haha :)

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish
I have been meaning to pick up a MAC lip pencil for a while, but I wasn't sure what shade or formula I should get. After looking at swatches on various blogs, I settled on the Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish. It's slightly more expensive than the standard MAC Lip Pencil, but it is meant to last longer on the lips etc. But was it worth the extra money?

Soups & Pesto with Tower Soup Maker

Soups are a big part of my diet and there is nothing better than a warming homemade soup on a cold day! Add a toasted garlic baguette or freshly baked bread and I am in heaven! That's why I couldn't say no to trying the Tower Soup Maker*. As a foodie, I simply couldn't wait to get cooking!

Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Colour (NEW Nudes)

I am all about nude, matte lips at the moment and I have been loving the new shades of Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Colour* (£19.50 each). The new additions feature four dreamy nudes and I became slightly obsessed with one of them :) I mentioned it in my September Favourites and on my Instagram. It is LOVE!

New Limited Edition Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balms

To celebrate the 20th Birthday of the incredible Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm*(£9.50), Nuxe released three limited edition designs with three different coloured lids: Pink, Yellow and Green.

Black Swan Halloween Makeup Look (AD)

When Fragrance Direct asked me to prepare a makeup look for their Halloween Lookbook, I couldn't wait to get creative. I was assigned the Black Swan look, which happens to be one of my favourite films ever :) Yay! Here is the final result. Yes, I realise that I look a little bit crazy :) I gave my husband a mini heart attack.

Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette in Semblance

Illamasqua's new Facets Collection launched today and it is absolutely stunning! I was kindly sent the Multi Facet Palette in Semblance* (£45.00) to try out and I am in love!

Fitbug Orb Review

I like tracking my daily activities and workouts through various devices. I have a Fitbit Flex and a Polar FT4 watch and I reviewed both of  them on the blog in the past.  I am always on the lookout for new fitness gadgets though and the  Fitbug Orb* really caught my eye. It is everywhere at the moment and everyone seems to love it, but is it worth the hype?

September Favourites

I haven't been blogging daily lately (real life getting in the way, toddler tantrums etc), but I couldn't wait to share my September favourites with you! From gorgeous cream eyeshadows, to skincare recommendations for acne prone and dehydrated skin - there is something for everyone.

Antonia Burrell Pure Therapy Facial Oil Serum Giveaway

I am slightly obsessed with Antonia Burrell Pure Therapy Facial Oil Serum (15ml, £58.80), but I realise that it is quite an expensive skincare product and not everyone can afford it. I featured it in my August Favourites and I still feel the same way about it. It's simply amazing and every skin type will benefit from it. If you  fancy trying this luxury skincare product, make sure to fill in the giveaway widget below, as I am giving one away to one of my readers :)

Paco Rabanne Lady Million Eau My Gold! EDT

Paco Rabanne Lady Million Eau My Gold! EDT* (50ml, £45.00)
Lady Million is one of my all time favourite scents and I am slightly obsessed with it, so I couldn't be more excited about the new Paco Rabanne fragrance - Eau My Gold! I know that some people hate the name, but I actually like it a lot :) It's fun right?

I HEART MAKEUP WOW STICKS

I love budget makeup brands, especially when it comes to lip products. The latest additions to my extensive collection are the I HEART MAKEUP Wow Sticks* (£2.99 each) and I am pretty impressed with them.

Autumn Vibes

Autumn (especially early Autumn) is my favourite season. I just love the crisp air, slightly chilly, but sunny days and cosy evenings under warm blankets. Add some hot chocolate and candles and I am one happy bunny :) I also love decorating the house with more Autumn appropriate flowers and ornaments and I wanted to show you some of my recent additions and arrangements.

Berry lips & smokey eye / Boots #giveitagodaily

I love trying out new makeup trends. From purple lips, to graphic liner and neon eyeshadow - I have tried it all! I simply adore makeup and I am not scared to experiment with it. I realise that those trends might not be suitable for everyone though, so today I want to share a couple of more wearable options.

Sephora/Holiday Haul

I almost forgot to share my holiday purchases, which are mostly from Sephora and Inglot. I bought some beauty bits while visiting my family in Poland and a little treat for my husband on the ferry to Calais. I didn't go crazy though, because I prepared a 'mental shopping list' weeks before, haha :)

Sigma Brilliant & Spellbinding Eye Shadow Palette

Another stunning palette from Sigma, released as part of their Steady Glow Collection. It is packed with neutral shades and a little bit of colour for the more adventurous makeup addicts.

NEW Bourjois Rouge Edition 12 Hour Lipsticks

I love Bourjois - I really, really do! Their bases and concealers are regular repurchases for me and the lip products are some of my all time favourite formulas and colours. The new 12 Hour Lipsticks* wowed me as well and I can't get enough of the nude shades. There is also a shade revival of Pamplemousse, back by popular demand.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

There has been a lot of hype surrounding the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara* (£19.00), so when a small sample of it arrived in the post, I applied it to my lashes immediately! Is it worth the hype?

HELLO! Fashion Magazine Launch + Competition

There is a new monthly fashion magazine on the market - HELLO! Fashion. With traditional media/print struggling at the moment, it is very refreshing to see a new option for fashion lovers. There is some beauty thrown in for good measure too, which is something I look for in every magazine. The best bit - it costs only £1.00!!!

Illamasqua Once Collection

The visuals for Illamasqua's Once Collection scream Autumn/Winter to me and the new products and colours are simply stunning. The collection consists of 3 cream eyeshadows, 2 lipglosses, a blush and a nail polish.

Helly Hansen Spring Style Preview + Competition

If you are a fan of outdoor activities and buy top quality outwear and sportswear, you will be familiar with Helly Hansen. Fashion Monday #4 / Leopard Print Trainers

I am all about comfort and I am also all about leopard print, haha... That's why I treated myself to a pair of Leopard Print Trainers (£17.00) from Asos. They were originally £28.00, but I spotted them on sale and I couldn't resist.

Toni & Guy Extreme Volume Rollers

I don't style my hair too often, but I love the way my hair looks, when I use heated rollers. They add volume, create big glam curls and are super easy to use. I own the Enrapture rollers already and I adore them, but I was excited to try an alternative.

Chanel Deauville Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick

I don't own many Chanel products, but I do love the formula of Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks and I wish I had more of them in my stash. They are simply divine! The latest addition to my collection is shade 67 - Deauville*- a perfect everyday shade for those who don't like bold or bright lips and prefer more neutral options.

Guest Post: The Glow Getters Lineup / RosyChicc

Hello everyone! My name is Andrea and I am the girl behind the beauty blog RosyChicc. When the wonderful Sandra asked me to guest post on her blog while she’s away on her holiday, I instantly jumped at the opportunity. The Black Pearl Blog is one of my all time favorite reads and I feel so honored to be guest posting over here! Thank you so much for having me Sandra and I hope you all enjoy!

Guest Post: Favourite MAC lipsticks / Tasha Meline

Hi there! My name is Tasha and I write for www.tashameline.com. Today I will be guest posting on Sandra’s lovely blog about my top six MAC lipsticks. A very big thank you to Sandra for asking me to guest post whilst she is away!

Before trying MAC lipsticks I wasn’t a huge lip product lover and could often be found with only lip balm on but once I had bought my first MAC lipstick, I couldn’t stop wearing them. I've only been collecting MAC lipsticks for the last five to six months but in that time they really have become my favourite so here are my top six out of my collection.

Neom Tranquility Diffuser

I am obsessed with Neom and I have their diffusers and candles in every single room. They recently launched new packaging and added some new fragrances to the range, which made me very excited. I am not sure what style of packaging I prefer to be honest. I like both. The diffusers and candles look different and you can currently get some limited edition jars, plus a smaller size for those who don't want to buy the more expensive 3 wick home candle.

Guest Post: Top 5 MAC products/ Sweet Electric

MAC is one of my favourite brands. I've tried a few of their products over the years so picking a top 5 was difficult. However, I've managed to narrow it down and theres some real gems in here.

Guest Post: Top 5 MAC Lipsticks/ More Than Adored

First off I would like to say a huge thank you to Sandra! I’ve been reading TBPB since before I started my own blog so it’s such an honor to be doing a guest post over here!

I’ve never shared my favourite Mac lipsticks over on More Than Adored which is strange because Mac lipsticks are my favourite lipsticks to buy. I admit most of my collection is made up of limited edition offerings (I’m such a sucker) but there these are my top five picks from the permanent line.

Guest Post: Autumn Ambience / A Little Boat Sailing

Hey everyone! My name is Amy and I'm so excited to be over here on Sandra's blog whilst she is away on her holiday. I'm kicking things off today with some of my favourite make up items for this coming autumn; I hope you enjoy.

Kylie Jenner Inspired Makeup Look / 90's Lip

No matter how hard we try, we can't really avoid reading about the Kardashians and seeing them in the media. They are absolutely everywhere and even someone like me, who couldn't care less about 'celebrities' gets a little bit of inspiration from them sometimes. After all, they are famous for their flawless makeup and I am a makeup addict. The latest Kardashian craze is the 'Kylie Jenner Lip' which is basically a 90's inspired nude lip. I gave it a go and  paired it with a very subtle brown and beige smokey eye, winged liner and big lashes.

August Favourites

I skipped a month in favourites, but I am back with some skincare, bodycare, makeup and fragrance gems I have been loving in August. Hide your bank cards, haha :)

DHC Premium Lipsticks

DHC Premium Lipsticks* (£13.00 each, currently £11.00)
I am absolutely obsessed with the DHC Cleansing Oil and I know that their skincare has many fans worldwide, but I didn't have a clue that they also do makeup. In fact, absolutely stunning makeup! Just look at those lippies! They are gorgeous!

Plus size gal wardrobe basics/essentials

I might wear dresses when I want to look girly etc, but most of the time I wear a 'mummy uniform' which consists of black leggings, a longline t-shirt or cami, a waterfall cardigan and flats. Add a topknot to that and you have my signature look, haha :) There are things in my wardrobe I simply cannot live without, so I decided to put this little list together and tell you why you need them in your life. I included some pieces from standard ranges (up to a size 18) and some from Asos Curve (18-28), as I buy from both.

GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment Review

After trying a small sample of this mask, I was over the moon when a full size jar arrived in the post. I was actually planning to buy it myself, but I was kindly sent the product by the lovely people at www.cosme-de.com who are also offering my readers a discount code! (more details at the end of the post)

Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Huile Gourmande Oil

I am a big fan of the Roger & Gallet Bois d'Orange Dry Oil and Roger & Gallet fragrances, so I had a feeling that I will adore their new release. I have a soft spot for anything fig or blackcurrant scented and the deliciously fragranced Fleur de Figuier Oil contains both! Oh my... it is divine!
