Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation & Instant Concealer - review and swatches

Just when I thought that I can't love Clarins more than I already do, they brought out the most amazing foundation and concealer. I am absolutely blown away by both products and I have been reaching for them a lot in September. I love everything about them - the formula, the finish and the way they feel on my skin.

'Feeling Blue'

This post was supposed to be about a big selection of electric blue accessories, but the items I ordered from ebay haven't arrived :( The replacements are on their way, but I will have to wait another 3-4 weeks for them. I decided to prepare a blue themed post anyway and... I couldn't resist a matching electric blue manicure.

Health Tips for a Healthy Heart

One of the most important things that you can do for your health is to look after your heart. You only get one of these unless you need a transplant and it’s vital that you care enough for your heart health to avoid needing one of those.

The pandemic has overshadowed the importance of heart health as we focused on respiratory health, and while we may be in the tail end of the pandemic right now, and it's not as prevalent as it was, knowing which angina treatment is available to you is so important if you are coping with a new diagnosis. You need to take better care of your heart, and that means understanding what steps you can take to make sure that your heart health is in tip top condition. Let's take a look at some of those healthy tips for a healthy heart that you need.

CK One Eye Shadows- Review and Swatches

CK One Eye Shadows* (£12.00 each)

I love eye shadows and they take up about 40% of my makeup storage, so I was very excited to give the CK One beauties a go. The packaging is unique, yet very simple and the colours are absolutely gorgeous! I was kindly sent a couple of shades to try out and I am very impressed.

Autumn Eye Shadow Palettes: Urban Decay, The Balm, Clarins, Barry M, MUA, Laura Mercier, Eye Of Horus

Autumn is probably my favourite 'makeup season' and as soon as the weather becomes a bit chilly, I find myself reaching for eye shadow palettes on a daily basis. They all deserve more love and I always  feel horrible about neglecting them (a tiny bit) in Spring/Summer. I went through my eye shadow stash and picked some gorgeous palettes with earthy, brown and golden shades. I love warm eyes in Autumn, especially with a touch of burgundy or green.

The Repurchase: Origins Super Spot Remover Review

I very rarely repurchase skincare products, but a couple of gems made it to my 'repurchase list' and I simply can't live without them. I was asked to review the Origins Super Spot Remover by some of my readers, so I thought that starting a new series of posts, about some fab products I repurchased is a great idea.

Debenhams styling challenge: OOTD under £100

More mens fashion? Well, we were asked to take part in another great challenge and we couldn't say no. This time, the task was to style a full outfit under £100, taking advantage of Debenhams sales

Lancome Hydra Zen Gift Set Review

LancĂ´me used to be my go to brand when I first started using more expensive skincare and makeup and I still use some of their products regularly. My favourites include their Teint Miracle Foundation and Bi-Facil Make-up Remover. I was recently sent the Hydra Zen Gift Set* (£38.00) to try out and all the products left me quite impressed. I might become a Lancome addict again :)

£1 Primark Beauty Bargains: Liquid Liner and Sultry Lashes

While shopping in Primark for some Autumn/Winter pieces, I stumbled across two £1 beauty bargains. I picked up the Sultry Lashes and a Liquid Liner. I wasn't expecting them to be amazing, but they aren't bad either.

Winter is a great time to visit your favourite destinations around the world, and there’s a whole host of reasons why. Take a look through them below and see if they can change your plans for the year!

Shades Of Green A/W Fashion Challenge

When I was asked to take part in 'How To wear A/W 2013' challenge, I couldn't say no. The five categories included: Shades of Green, Statement Outerwear ,Winter White, Grungey Plaid  and Classic Patterns. As you can see, I was assigned to the Shades Of Green category. I thought it was going to be easy, but I spent hours in high street shops, trying to put the £80 budget to good use and plan my three outfits.  I bought three main pieces and some accessories and my total came to £63. I am quite impressed actually. The idea was to make the new pieces work with what you already have in your wardrobe. Here is what I bought:

Recent Beauty Purchases: Bourjois, Nuxe, Nails Inc, Bumble and Bumble, Origins, Liz Earle

I am trying to be sensible with money, but I couldn't resist a couple of bargains. I also had to stock up on some essentials, like Bourjois Nail Polish Remover, Healthy Mix Foundation, Origins Super Spot Remover and Liz Earle Eyebright Lotion. I bought most of the products online, but I managed to pick up a couple of things from Boots and Superdrug as well.

Neom Perfect Night's Sleep Set Review: Tranquility Candle, Bath Foam and Room Mist

Getting a good night's sleep is very important to me and I cannot function properly, if I don't get a minimum of 8 hours. I try to go to bed around 23.00 and I am woken up by my 2 year old toddler between 8.00-9.00 in the morning. I know... I should feel lucky :) haha. I am extremely grateful for having such a good sleeper. One thing stopping me from drifting off to sleep is anxiety. To deal with it, I have been using Neom's Tranquility products with Lavender, known for it's sedative qualities.

September Love Me Beauty (Beauteco) Box Review

Another Beauty Box on the market? No, it's just Beauteco Box, with a brand new name - Love Me Beauty. Any other changes? Nope, it is still a fantastic subscription service and I am very happy with the contents of my box. I picked menu 3 and I received three full size products and two samples. Impressive!

Fashion is an ever-evolving tapestry, a colourful narrative sewn with threads of personal taste and social influences. Footwear, an understated yet crucial character in this tale, carries a weight beyond mere utility; it's an embodiment of a woman's flair and elegance. A curated shoe rack can tell stories of individualism, celebrations, and even one's career milestones.

Organic Surge 2-Minute Moisture Mask Review

I like to treat my hair to a nice hair mask once a week and my Holy Grail is still the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. It is really expensive though, so I am always on the lookout for a cheaper alternative. My latest discovery is the Organic Surge 2-minute Moisture Mask and I am very impressed with it.

New releases from Bourjois: Blush Exclusif and Java Rice Powder - review and swatches

Once again, Bourjois brought out some amazing products and left me very impressed! I am really happy to see my favourite high street brand being praised on other blogs and becoming so popular. They really deserve all the attention. The latest Bourjois wonders I had a chance to try out are the Blush Exclusif and Java Rice Powder. In both cases, it was love at first sight.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

I am a big fan of beauty blenders and use them to apply my foundation quite often, especially if I want to achieve a flawless finish. The original beauty blender is really expensive, but...Real Techniques affordable version means that you will be able to get your mitts on a good quality makeup sponge without breaking the bank. The cheap ebay ones usually feel like rubber and are a nightmare to clean.

F&F Couples' Chino Challenge

When I was asked to take part in Couples' Chino Challenge, I couldn't say no. I love fashion, my husband likes nice clothes and we both like a challenge :) On top of that, we will be in with the chance of winning a weekend away in a luxurious hotel. I can't even explain how much we need a weekend away. We haven't been anywhere alone since our son was born over 2 years ago! I know... Shocking... Anyway...

I just can't get enough of... Mint Green Nail Polish

When I was organising my nail polish collection, I realised that I have many variations of a pastel green colour aka 'mint green'. I absolutely love this shade on my nails and my favourite and most used one is still Essie's Mint Candy Apple. I adore the way it looks against every skin tone. I wear it when I am pale or tanned and it is perfect. It is the only nail colour I used up and repurchased!

One of my favourite ways to relax

One of my favourite ways to relax is listening to classical music, drinking my favourite caramel latte with loads of fresh cream and a sprinkle of chocolate on top. I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy some time alone with Vivaldi's Four Seasons. My personal favourite is Spring and I could listen to it on repeat every  morning.

Sunday Manicure: The one I didn't like

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a lovely Sunday. Today's manicure is the one I was excited to try but... it turns out that we were not made for each other. It looks interesting, but I couldn't stand the feeling of it on my nails.

Pretty Flowers Make Me Happy

Flowers are something I absolutely adore and they never fail to put a smile on my face. I have fresh flowers in the house most of the time, especially in Summer. I usually separate big bouquets into smaller ones and put single flowers in small vases to make all rooms look pretty :) This time I took a couple of flowers out and put them in a big clear jar, on top of some magazines and books. I think I spend too much time on Pinterest :) haha. If I could have multiple bouquets of fresh flowers in every room, I would!

Why We Love Coffee

Coffee is the second-most consumed beverage in the world, after water. And if the world continues the trend the way it has been for the last few centuries, it will soon overtake good old-fashioned H2O as the number one source of hydration.

But what is it about coffee that makes it so popular? Why are so many people into it?

Vichy Idealia Life Serum Review

Vichy Idealia Life Serum* £29.50 (30ml)

After trying the Vichy Idealia BB Cream and falling in love with, I couldn't wait to give the new Idealia Life Serum a go. It is designed for skin exposed to stress, sun, pollution and an unbalanced diet to help transform the appearance of skins quality, tighten pores, add radiance and even out skin tone. I don't necessarily need a lot of help with my skin, because I eat a balanced diet, don't smoke or drink alcohol, but... after reading rave reviews, I thought that my skin might benefit from the Idealia Life Serum.

Clarins Graphic Expression Autumn 2013 Collection review + swatches and two Autumn makeup looks

I must admit- I wasn't feeling the Autumn vibe, until I started playing with Clarins Graphic Expression Collection. It made me realise that it is time to take a break from corals and peachy shades and experiment with darker, richer colours. With that in mind, I created two simple looks for Autumn 2013 with a selection of Clarins products I was kindly sent last week.

Recipe: Warm couscous salad

I love couscous and I add it to many dishes, including salads. To keep the calories down, I usually mix it with vegetables and serve it with an egg, fish or chicken. Today's recipe is very simple and it only takes 15-20 minutes to make.

Fragrance wishlist

I have a slight obsession with perfumes and my collection currently consist of 20-30 bottles of different scents. I am trying to use up some of them, because I need space for some new beautiful fragrances. There are three scents on my wishlist at them moment, including Marc Jacobs Honey, This Company Molecule 01 and Vera Wang Be Jeweled. I blame all of my fragrance lusts on fellow beauty bloggers :)

Sunday Manicure: Rose Petals

I thought it was time to try something different on my nails. My beautiful pink roses were dying, so I used the petals to create this unusual manicure. It isn't perfect, but the effect is very pretty in real life.
