Getting a good night's sleep is very important to me and I cannot function properly, if I don't get a minimum of 8 hours. I try to go to bed around 23.00 and I am woken up by my 2 year old toddler between 8.00-9.00 in the morning. I know... I should feel lucky :) haha. I am extremely grateful for having such a good sleeper. One thing stopping me from drifting off to sleep is anxiety. To deal with it, I have been using Neom's Tranquility products with Lavender, known for it's sedative qualities.

The original beauty blender is really expensive, but...Real Techniques affordable version means that you will be able to get your mitts on a good quality makeup sponge without breaking the bank. The cheap ebay ones usually feel like rubber and are a nightmare to clean.

I just can't get enough of... Mint Green Nail Polish

When I was organising my nail polish collection, I realised that I have many variations of a pastel green colour aka 'mint green'. I absolutely love this shade on my nails and my favourite and most used one is still Essie's Mint Candy Apple. I adore the way it looks against every skin tone. I wear it when I am pale or tanned and it is perfect. It is the only nail colour I used up and repurchased!

One of my favourite ways to relax is listening to classical music, drinking my favourite caramel latte with loads of fresh cream and a sprinkle of chocolate on top. I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy some time alone with Vivaldi's Four Seasons. My personal favourite is Spring and I could listen to it on repeat every  morning.

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a lovely Sunday. Today's manicure is the one I was excited to try but... it turns out that we were not made for each other. It looks interesting, but I couldn't stand the feeling of it on my nails. 

Pretty Flowers Make Me Happy

Flowers are something I absolutely adore and they never fail to put a smile on my face. I have fresh flowers in the house most of the time, especially in Summer. I usually separate big bouquets into smaller ones and put single flowers in small vases to make all rooms look pretty :) This time I took a couple of flowers out and put them in a big clear jar, on top of some magazines and books. I think I spend too much time on Pinterest :) haha. If I could have multiple bouquets of fresh flowers in every room, I would!

Clarins Graphic Expression Autumn 2013 Collection review + swatches and two Autumn makeup looks

I must admit- I wasn't feeling the Autumn vibe, until I started playing with Clarins Graphic Expression Collection. It made me realise that it is time to take a break from corals and peachy shades and experiment with darker, richer colours. With that in mind, I created two simple looks for Autumn 2013 with a selection of Clarins products I was kindly sent last week. 

Recipe: Warm couscous salad

I love couscous and I add it to many dishes, including salads. To keep the calories down, I usually mix it with vegetables and serve it with an egg, fish or chicken. Today's recipe is very simple and it only takes 15-20 minutes to make.

Fragrance wishlist

I have a slight obsession with perfumes and my collection currently consist of 20-30 bottles of different scents. I am trying to use up some of them, because I need space for some new beautiful fragrances. There are three scents on my wishlist at them moment, including Marc Jacobs Honey, This Company Molecule 01 and Vera Wang Be Jeweled. I blame all of my fragrance lusts on fellow beauty bloggers :)

I thought it was time to try something different on my nails. My beautiful pink roses were dying, so I used the petals to create this unusual manicure. It isn't perfect, but the effect is very pretty in real life. 

Boujrois Corner Lashes - perfect falsies for beginners

I love false lashes, but I only wear them on special occasions, or when I am doing a makeup look for the blog. My 'go to' everyday eye makeup consists of a brown eyeshadow and mascara, but... I recently started using corner lashes to add more volume. My natural lashes are very flat and don't really hold the curl, so I have to cheat a little :) 

New body care and hair care additions

When it comes to body care and hair care and I am not too fussy. I do my best to avoid SLS and other nasties though. I discovered some lovely products in August and I can't wait to tell you more about them!

I mentioned in my previous posts, that I am very impressed with Sigma's makeup. Their powder eye shadows are very pigmented and long lasting and the cream eye shadow bases are absolutely incredible and perfect for a quick, effortless look or a gorgeous smokey eye. When I was kindly sent the 'Sigma Warm Extended Wear Eyeliner Kit' to try out, I had high expectations.

I am obsessed with healthy eating and nutrition and I always make sure to eat my 5 a day (or more) and balanced, nutritious meals. I also do my best to exercise regularly and my Polar FT4 watch really helps to motivate me. I get very annoyed when people assume that I am unhealthy, because I am carrying extra weight and I am sick of unnecessary, rude comments from those who could do with a lifestyle change themselves. I eat a very healthy diet (see my instagram for meal ideas), I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I exercise...  I made small changes to my lifestyle, I am happy, I feel great, I am slowly getting back to my pre-preganancy weight and I realise that it is not going to happen overnight. 

Eating clean has a big impact on the skin and avoiding processed foods and sugars  will definitely show on your face. I love adding extra vitamins and superfoods to my diet though and I have been taking supplements from Viridian for the past few months to keep my body and skin happy. 

I am loving... white accessories

I love the look of white accessories, but I don't really own too many. I recently ordered this beautiful white bag* from www.oasap.com and I am totally in love with it! The print on it is very unusual and not everyone's cup of tea, but... the back is all white and it can be worn in two ways. I wish it was all white, but hey... it is beautiful anyway. The detailing on it is gold (gold plated) and all the trims are black.

I love trying out new skincare products, but I only have one face, so it is impossible for me to test every new release etc. If you blog about beauty, you will know how I feel :) There are some new products I have been using though and I would like to share my favourites with you and tell you a little bit about them.

Bargain Buy: Vivo Shimmer Block Blusher and Shimmer Block Bronzer

I love blushers and bronzers and I probably own far too many of them :) The newest additions to my little collection are from a very affordable brand -Vivo. If you shop in Tesco, you are probably familiar with their makeup range. The Shimmer Block Bronzer* and Shimmer Block Blusher* cost  only £3.99 each, but I am pleasantly  surprised with their quality.

Sunday Manicure: Floral nail art with Bourjois Dotting Tool

Hi everyone. I hope you had a lovely weekend. I was very busy redecorating our bedroom and I can't wait to share the outcome with you next week :) I am still waiting for a couple of things to be delivered, but it all looks really nice already. 

Anyway... :) This weeks manicure is a mixture of pastels and florals with a touch of red. I tried to match my nails to one of my cardigans :) haha. I used Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Bond With Whomever, Hip-Anema and a Bourjois Dotting Tool*.

French Connection Honey Round Sunglasses

When I was asked, if I would like to review an item from French Connection, I was instantly drawn to the Honey Round Sunglasses* (£69.00). I have been lusting after a pair of round sunglasses for ages, but I wasn't sure if the style will suit me. Well... it doesn't :) haha. They are lovely and I adore the colour of the frames, but as you can see on the photo below, this style makes me look like an old granny :) I think it's because I have a big, round face and I should probably get an oversized pair to look less silly.
