I quite like the idea of 'What's On My Face' posts so I thought I should start sharing my favourite makeup products weekly. I reviewed some of the products featured in this post already, but you can expect full reviews of the other bits next week :)
I have been trying to get my mitts on the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter for absolute ages, but it was sold out everywhere for a couple of months! Crazy! I made sure to sign up to Superdrug's notifications though, to let me know when it is back in stock and as soon as I got the email, I ordered... THREE of them :) haha.
I am a big fan of Lily Lolo and I own quite a big selection of their products. Their Mineral Concealeris fantastic and their gorgeous Demure & Intense Crush lipsticks are some of my all time favourite lip colours. I also purchased some of their loose eye shadows and the pigmentation was incredible, but... I prefer pressed products, so the new releases looked very promising. There are four new Lily Lolo products available, including two Eye Shadow Quads and two shades of Shimmer Stripes.
I am pretty sure that this foundation doesn't need an introduction :) It is the one and only Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. Many bloggers and youtubers rave about it and again... I fell for the hype. Even the £33 price tag didn't put me off. Is it worth the money and all the hype? Let's find out...
More fabulous releases from Bourjois? Yep! They are on a roll! Their Happy Light range was released at the beginning of October and you probably noticed it in your local Boots and Superdrug, or already own some of the new products. I have been trialing the Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer, Foundation and Concealer and as usual, I am very impressed. I have so much love for Bourjois!
Building a MAC palette ain't cheap and it doesn't happen overnight, but... I couldn't resist ordering three more shades online. I also got a sample of the Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara and free delivery so it wasn't too bad :) The shades I got this time are Nylon, Sumptuous Olive and Club. The first one is a perfect highlight and the two green colours look lovely with brown eyes, so I just had to order them
Another neutral eye shadow palette? Well... The Essentials Eye Makeup Palette by Clarins is different. It was created to make your eyes look amazing, while supporting human rights and the environment. Clarins has joined forces with Pur Project and they promised to plant 10,000 trees to help revive the Kuntanawa culture. As someone who studied (and is passionate about )cultural anthropology, I feel very strongly about preserving and reviving vanishing cultures, so it makes me really happy to see Clarins engaging in such a great cause. Well done! But what do I think about The Essentials Eye Makeup Palette itself? Let's find out.
I mentioned in my 'MAC Palette' post that I bought very Autumn appropriate shades and some of you asked me to create a makeup look with them. Your wish is my command, so here it is: MAC Cranberry & Sketch Smokey Eye. I used a mixture of my new full size MAC eyeshadows and some shades from my MAC Fabulousness Palette. I wanted the look to be quite dramatic, so I added black liner and loads of mascara.
I know that it might be hard to believe, but I have never been to London! I know... it is a shocker! Technically, I have been there, but it was purely to get a train to another city so it was a 5 minute adventure. Anyway... I am planning to change it and go for a massive shopping spree to London next year, but... after reading the article below about spending New Year's Eve in London, I might change my plans and go there sooner :) I hope you find the piece interesting.
I recently got a chance to try some fabulous products from a luxury organic brand called The Rose Tree and I really wanted to introduce you to their beautiful skincare, body care and candles. I featured the Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter in my 'Morning skincare routine' post, but today I will be reviewing two more product I have been using throughout October.
If I had to pick one nail colour to wear for the rest of my life, it would be Yummy Mummy by Butter London. It is the perfect nude shade and it compliments my skin tone beautifully, even with a bit of fake tan on :)
Since I had a feelunique voucher burning a whole in my virtual pocket, I thought I should treat myself to some high end makeup scribbled on my 'never ending wishlist'. I recently fell in love with Guerlain products, but haven't tried their lipsticks yet, so KissKiss Strass went straight into my basket. I have also been lusting after the iconic YSL Touche Eclat and I knew that the collector edition won't be around for much longer, so it ended up in my basket too :)
