The East London Hotel Review

Last weekend we visited London for the first time and we had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened The East London Hotel. The hotel is located in Bethnal Green and only 13 minutes from Central London by Tube.  The overall feel of the hotel is very stylish and the rooms are comfortable and designed with modern comforts in mind.

Brand Focus: Pixi Beauty

I was introduced to Pixi Beauty a few months ago at a Pixi Beaty dinner in Glasgow (incredible evening!) and some of their products quickly became staples in my skincare routine and my makeup bag. The formulas are lovely and the brand is cruelty free and most of their products are vegan, which is amazing.

Strathaven Hot Air Balloon Festival 2018

We recently took the kids to a yearly Hot Air Balloon Festival at Strathaven's John Hastie Park, as we stay a short drive away and I have always wanted to attend it, but never got round to it.  I didn't anticipate how busy it was going to be, but I am really glad we went. The balloons looked incredible and there were loads of attractions.

Cirque Du Soleil Ovo at Glasgow SSE Hydro

 A few weeks ago, I was kindly invited to see Cirque Du Soleil's OVO at SSE Hydro in Glasgow and I thought I would share some of the photos and my thoughts and feelings about this incredible show, as you can still see them in the UK till the end of October!

Coffee time

I cannot live without my Nespresso coffee machine and I always look for new compatible pods to use with it. There's plenty to choose from on the market and my recent batch is from Real Coffee who offer a big variety of blends and flavours for Nespresso and Dolce Gusto machines.

Eyes with Smashbox

I haven't tried much from Smashbox, so I was really looking forward to giving these a go. A perfect trio for a simple makeup look with a pop of colour. I adore the mascara and liner so much, they have been my go to in 2018.

Holiday Essentials

I recently attended a Bobbi Brown masterclass where the lovely Bobbi Brown team showed us how to create a gorgeous makeup look with their #CantLiveWithout products. We learnt some tricks from the lovely and talented Aimee Morrison who's a PRO makeup artist at Bobbi Brown and I was in my natural habitat: chatting makeup and applying it to my face!

The Narciso Rodriguez EDP For Her*(30ml, £35.50) has been on my wishlist for a long time, after a received a little vial of it in a subscription box. It is finally mine and I totally get the hype around it, as it is absolutely beautiful and lasts on my skin for ages! From the bottle tom the scent itself - it's perfect!
