Brand Focus: Pixi Beauty

I was introduced to Pixi Beauty a few months ago at a Pixi Beaty dinner in Glasgow (incredible evening!) and some of their products quickly became staples in my skincare routine and my makeup bag. The formulas are lovely and the brand is cruelty free and most of their products are vegan, which is amazing.

Let's start with skincare and the Rose Cream Cleanser* (£18.00). It's a super creamy, nourishing formula which cleanses, removes makeup, softens and soothes the skin. I apply a small amount  onto my face, massage it allover (including eyes) and remove with a warm damp cloth. It is very gentle on my sensitive eyes and leaves my skin feeling super soft. If I am wearing makeup, I double cleanse with it, but on makeup free days, one cleanse feels ultra nourishing. The formula  features mineral-rich mud to detoxify, rose, chamomile and aloe vera to soothe and avocado to condition. I absolutely love it!

If my skin needs some exfoliation, I reach for the Glow Tonic To Go Pads*(£20.00). I use these a few times a week to remove dead skin cells and brighten the skin. There is 60 pre-soaked pads inside and they're super convenient and travel friendly. Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid, alcohol free and hypoallergenic, these will leave your skin looking clearer, smoother and rejuvenated. When my skin is looking a bit tired and dull, an acid toner always works a treat.

I use a hydrating , soothing toner like the Rose Tonic*(£10.00) after cleansing every day (after an acid toner as well). This one is packed with soothing ingredients and rich in nutrients, including  rose and elderflower and it helps to neutralise the skin’s pH, normalises hydration levels, gently removes impurities, tones skin and minimises redness and irritation. I put some in a small spray bottle to use during the day as well, for a little pick-me-up for the skin and it's so refreshing!

The Rose Oil Blend (£26.00) is perfect for AM and PM use and features a botanical blend of youth-preserving oils to help improve skin's elasticity and glow. It contains sweet almond, rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils and it feels incredible on the skin. I usually apply it in the evening, but I like adding a few drops to my moisturiser in the morning as well to add a nice glow to the skin. It really makes a difference and shines through the foundation, making the complexion look more dewy and natural.

Last but not least, we have the Glow 02 Oxygen Mask* (£26.00). It's an oxygen treatment bubble mask which you apply as a gel and leave it on to bubble on the skin. It gives a slightly tingly sensation and provides immediate results. It revives dull skin, leaving it looking fresher, smoother and more radiant. It contains an Oxygen complex, vitamins, ginseng, caffeine, antioxidants and lactic acid and I would recommend it once or twice a week when your skin needs some TLC.

Now onto makeup, which did not disappoint! Just like I mentioned before, some of these products became staples in my makeup bag really quickly and I definitely have to expand my Pixi collection.

The Eye Reflections Palette - Mixed Metals *(£24.00) features 12 mineral shadows in stunning warm tones, all super pigmented, easy to blend and long lasting. The formula is silky smooth and applies like a dream. From shimmers, metallics and matte colours, the selection works really well together and offers a variety of looks. I especially love the pop of burgundy in the mix, as it gives me more options. It's actually a perfect Autumn palette and I have been using it a lot lately.

Just look at these swatches! Stunning!

Super pigmented with a lot of sparkle in the metallic and shimmer shades.

The Glow-y Gossamer Duo Highlighter Duo*(£20.00) in a shade Delicate Dew has been my go to highlight combo of the Summer and I still keep reaching for it. It contains a champagne shade and a rose gold colour which can be used separately or mixed together (see swatches below). I personally love mixing the two together to suit my skin tone, but the rose gold looks incredible with a tan and the champagne is great for lighter skin or winter months. The formula is buttery smooth and glides onto the skin, giving it the most beautiful glow. I am actually obsessed!

I love the way the two colours make the perfect shade for my skin tone, when mixed!

Now let's talk about the star of the show, which gets me the most compliments when I wear it, the Liquid Fairy Lights in shade PassionLight (£15.00). I am not gonna lie... I have been wearing it almost every day since I received it at the event and I either slather it on allover the lid or add a tiny bit on top of my other shadows for extra sparkle. It looks absolutely incredible and the shade PassionLight is just stunning! A deep copper with golden and bronze sparkle which will literally dazzle everyone with the way it reflect light and shimmers. Oh.... I could go on and on... I need all of these to be honest! Top tip - apply and then close your eyes and use a folding fan to dry it, to avoid transfer. Once it dries, it won't budge!

I have also been wowed by the LipLift Max*(£12.00). I used to be obsessed with glosses, but since the matte lipsticks took over the world, I forgot how much I loved a bit of gloss. This lip-firming, volumising formula plumps the lips, adds a lovely shine, while nourishing and soothing the lips at the same time. I have the shade Sweet Nectar and it's a lovely peachy coral which goes perfectly with my skin tone.

Lastly, we have the Endless Silky Eye Pen*(£12.00). Featuring a long-wearing gel formula, this pencil simply glides on without tugging on the delicate skin around the eyes. It has a buttery soft consistency and great pigmentation and stays put all day and night. I have a lovely metallic rose gold colour (Rose Glow), which I like to use on my lower lash line with a  smokey eye.

Overall, I am really impressed with Pixi beauty skincare and makeup and all the products I have tried are fantastic and the price point is actually more affordable than I thought. The standout product for me must be the Liquid Fairy Lights, but I can't possibly choose just one from the skincare, as I enjoyed them all equally.
