Weekend Pamper #2

I am not sure, if this feature will be a weekly occurrence, but I am hoping to mention some pamper products most weekends, or when I have some new exciting products to try out. I love a good pamper night, so it is something I enjoy talking/writing about. Here are some of the products I used last night :)

Illmasqua Summer 2014: Velvet Blush & Matte Lip Liquid

Illamasqua's Summer 2014 Collection looks absolutely divine. The imagery is stunning and the new products come in very Summer appropriate colours. The new additions include 3 Matte Lip Liquids, 3 Velvet Blushers, Matte Veil and a Matte Top Coat for nails. I was kindly sent two products to try out: Surrender Matte Lip Liquid and Sleek Velvet Blush. They are both beautiful!

theBalm Balm Voyage Palette

I don't own a massive selection of theBalm products, but everything I have tried from them so far has been absolutely amazing, from stunning highlighters to buttery soft eye shadows. The newest addition to my makeup collection is the 'Balm Voyage' palette and I am slightly obsessed with it. The selection of eye shadows and lip/cheek colours is perfect and the formulas are a dream to apply.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review

I didn't want to review this beautiful palette when I first got it, because it was limited edition and it sold out pretty quickly, leaving many  makeup addicts slightly disappointed (even devastated). I almost missed out on it myself. That's why I had this review saved in my drafts ready to be published when the palette is available for UK customers again. Well... you can probably guess that is now back in stock and available via Space NK. YAY!

So Susan Wide Awake Palette & Lacquerlove Box

I remember seeing the So Susan Wide Awake Palette in a beauty box a year or two ago, but other than that, I haven't really heard much about the brand. Interesting fact - So Susan was created by Susan Chyi - who previously created Jelly Pong Pong. Is it just the same brand under a new name? I am not sure. The products are similar or almost identical to JPP. I also noticed that the brand is based in London, but the prices are in dollars. I am slightly confused... Anyway... Let's find out what I think about the products.

Weekend Pamper #01

When I am feeling down, all I want to do is take a long hot bath, put a face mask on (or three) and have some 'me time' to help me relax and lift my mood.  I have a little routine that I usually stick to, but the products I use change all the time. The more luxurious they are, the better the experience :) Without further ado, let me tell you about all the steps in my pamper routine.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer & Lip Gloss #HowDoYouHoola

This little bronzer quickly became one of my favourite products and the fact that it has my name on it made it even more special. I've tried a mini Hoola bronzer in the past, but for some reason I didn't repurchase it. I know, I am such a fool :) haha. Benefit Hoola Bronzer is absolutely stunning and I couldn't be more excited about having it back in my life. I also got a chance to try the Hoola lip gloss and I think it's fantastic! I love the formula of Benefit Ultra Plush Glosses - they feel incredible on the lips. After putting both products to the test and I can finally  share my #HowDoYouHoola selfie, complete with a Hawaiian necklace :)

Refreshing Cold Drinks For Summer (with Vitamix)

Since the weather improved slightly, I have been experimenting with non alcoholic cocktails and frozen coffees and I created some really lovely combinations. Most of them are completely clean and healthy, but I do use Monin Syrups sometimes to add more flavour. PS. If you have been waiting for my Frozen Coconut Latte recipe, you don't have to wait any longer :)

Clarins Lip Balm Crayons Summer 2014

Clarins Lip Balm Crayons* (£18.00 each)

I love easy to wear lip colours that don't require a mirror and a steady hand for even application. The new Lip Balm Crayons by Clarins tick all the boxes and I have been using them a lot since they landed on my desk. They have the most gorgeous texture, that feels like a super hydrating lip balm, but they also provide lovely colour and shine. Perfect!

NEW PG Tips Fruit, Herbal and Green Teas

I don't really drink a lot of black tea, but when I do, I opt for PG Tips. I am a massive fan of green, herbal and fruit teas though, so imagine my excitement when I was sent a hamper full of all the new PG Tips flavours! Tea heaven! :) The fruit and herbal range is priced at £1.19 and the green teas cost £1.29 per pack of 20.

Preparing My Summer/Holiday Beauty Essentials

I am slightly depressed about cancelling two weeks in France this year, but we are going to Poland instead, to visit my family and spend a couple of days by the sea. The weather will be beautiful and I can't wait to finally relax and enjoy some sunshine! I already started preparing my holiday essentials and I must admit - I won't be packing light... Oooops... :) Here are some products I am taking with me this year.

The Body Shop Brush On Bronze

My first ever bronzer was very similar to this one and I kept it in my stash for years, until my recent makeup clear-out. There is something about the little beads that makes me love a product more. Brush On Bronze is very pigmented and looks a little bit scary when you swatch it and first apply it, but it is easy to blend and adds a gorgeous glow to my complexion.

Pandora White Quartzite Ring

I must admit, Pandora designs are quickly becoming my weakness and I have a really long wishlist ready for my birthday in July :) This ring is part of the 'stacking range' and it is absolutely beautiful! I was torn between the White Quartzite Ring and the White Enamel Flower Ring, but after spending far too much time comparing them, I settled for the first option. It is a perfect size and it looks very elegant. I am definitely over my crazy ring obsession and I find myself opting for more timeless designs.

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom EDP

I love DKNY's Be Delicious and Red Delicous, but the pink Fresh Blossom version is probably my favourite from all three. It is more floral than other DKNY scents I have tried, but it still has a little bit of sweetness to it. It is fresh, flirty and light - perfect for daytime or those who don't like strong, musky EDP's.

Makeup Revolution Vice Lipstick

Continuing with the 'bright lip theme', I thought I should give a bright orange shade a go. Vice is part of the Makeup Revolution Scandalous collection, but it is pretty wearable and I absolutely love it. The other shades include a gorgeous fuschia pink, a bright purple, blue and yellow! You can see how the first two look like on the lips in this post.

Pandora Vintage Heart Charm

Every girl loves Pandora charms, right? You simply can't go wrong with them and the selection of designs is incredible. There is something for everyone and you can make your gift personal without going through the hassle of  engraving etc. Perfect for those who tend to buy gifts last minute, but still want them to be meaningful.

Neom 25% OFF Blogger Flash Sale and my top picks

As a massive Neom addict fan I had to let you know about their 25% off offer for bloggers. The discount is valid between the 16th and 18th of May on all stress-relieving Neom products, including the gorgeous Enchantment range.

Purple/Pink Overload With Makeup Revolution

I love purple and pink hues in my makeup and sometimes I actually wear purple/lilac lipsticks in public. Obviously there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I know that it is still considered a little bit extravagant (especially during a walk in the park with my toddler, haha). Anyway... Here is a makeup look I created with some very affordable Makeup Revolution gems along with quick reviews of some of their eye shadows and lip products.

Roger & Gallet Gingembre Rouge Fresh Fragrant Water

When it comes to Summer scents, Roger & Gallet never disappoint me. I am obsessed with their Bois D'Orange Dry Body Oil and I love their light fragrant waters. Gingembre Rouge is the newest addition to their range and it is described as 'an energising fragrance that reveals the freshness and sensuality of ginger in all its states'. It is a gorgeous scent and it reminds me of exotic holidays, sandy beaches and refreshing drinks in the sun.

Scott Barnes Body Bling: Platinum & Original

Scott Barnes Body Bling in Plantinum and Original* (30ml, £7.50 each)

I love a bit of shimmer on my body, especially in Summer, so I couldn't wait to give this cult product a go. Body Bling was created by a celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes, who works with stars like Jennifer Lopez. Other professional MUA's use it on their celeb clients as well and apparently it's their secret to gorgeous, tanned and glowing skin.

Love Me Beauty May

This months Love Me Beauty Box*(£10.00+£2.95) is slightly different to what I am used to, but I absolutely love it. Let's be honest... who doesn't like cute notepads, tea, nail polish, lip balms and a bit of skincare? I definitely do! In May I picked menu 1 and here are the contents of my box.

Healthy Vegan Rafaello Bonbons

I used to love Rafaello so much, but I can’t eat it anymore, so I finally decided to make a raw vegan version! I can happily report, that my first attempt was a success and I can now enjoy (raw and vegan) Rafaello again! *does happy dance, screams and cries with happy tears*.

What's NEW: Bourjois, DHC, Makeup Revolution...

I know that most of you visit my blog to read about beauty, so I decided to start a series of mini makeup and skincare reviews, where I quickly introduce you to some new beauty launches. The first one features two new releases from Bourjois, an amazing eyedust from a new budget brand Makeup Revolution, Signorina Eleganza Fragrance and DHC Clarifying Pore Cover Base.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

I have been dying to get my hands on a bottle of this EDT, since I gave it a little sniff in Boots and... it is finally mine. I was kindly sent a bottle for review purposes, but I was planning to buy it anyway. You know when you smell a fragrance and you can't stop thinking about it, despite having 50 other options to choose from? Yep, that's how I feel about Flowerbomb. It's beautiful!

How long does it take you to get ready?

According to a recent survey, an average woman spends 55 minutes on her appearance every day - an equivalent of 2 weeks a year. As a busy mum, sometimes I have to get ready in a couple of minutes, so I wasn't surprised to find out that most mums spend only 10-15 minutes getting ready every morning. To help me create a quick summer look in 15 minutes or less, I was kindly sent a couple of bits by roomtogrow.co.uk, but most of the products I used are staples in my makeup bag. As you can see on the stopwatch, it took me 12 minutes and 26 seconds to get ready. You can see the result on the photos below :)

He-Shi Rapid 1 hour Liquid Tan Review

I am a massive fan of He-Shi products, especially their liquid tan and I always recommend it to everyone who likes fuss free formulas. The new Rapid 1 Hour Liquid Tan is very similar to the original, but it works in just 1 hour, which means that you can actually fake tan right before you go out, without staining your clothes and bed sheets at night :)  Perfect!

Choosing the Right Material for Kid's Sweaters

Many parents find it challenging to choose the suitable material for their children’s sweaters due to the endless number of choices available in the market.

For instance, Jacadi sweaters offer a range of sweaters in different styles, flair, and colors, which means you’ll need to review the characteristics of each item to find the garment that best suits your baby.

And since you may be tempted to lean more towards style rather than functionality, this article will help you choose the right material for your kid’s sweaters and recommend some of the best fabrics readily available in the market today. Read on!

Marlenha Petal Delicate Eye Serum Review

As a self-confessed eye cream addict, I couldn't wait to give this luxurious eye serum a go. I wasn't familiar with the brand, but after having a look at their website I can report that all Marlenha products are cruelty free, made without animal derived ingredients and free from nasties (like parabens, sulfates etc). The small selection of products handmade in Italy includes: three face moisturisers, a body butter and the eye serum I have been using for the past 3 weeks.

Urban Decay Naked 3 and Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palettes Comparison & Swatches

My 'Urban Decay Naked 2 dupe' post is one of the most popular articles on my blog, along with the 'Naked palette ebay fake comparison'. That's why, after many requests from my lovely readers, I decided to compare the Naked 3 palette to it's brand new dupe - Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution. I hope you find it helpful/interesting.

April Favourites

I always tend to include a big selection of products in my monthly favourites and this month is no different. There is something for everyone, from budget hair care to makeup and luxury skincare and I can't wait to share my recommendations with you!

The Bathory Personalised Bath Soak

The Bathory Personalised Bath Soak* ($30.00/£18.00)

I love baths and I often spend hours soaking in essential oils and other mystery concoctions :) haha. When I was offered a chance to create my own personalised bath soak, I couldn't say no. The process is really simple and you can order your own blend by following two easy steps.

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder

I am a dry shampoo addict, but... most cheap options make my scalp quite itchy and I have to use soothing products to deal with this unpleasant side effect. I think I finally found the answer to my prayers though, from a brand I have been obsessed with lately - Bumble and Bumble.
