I am not sure, if this feature will be a weekly occurrence, but I am hoping to mention some pamper products most weekends, or when I have some new exciting products to try out. I love a good pamper night, so it is something I enjoy talking/writing about. Here are some of the products I used last night :)
I totally forgot about this Laura Mercier candle, but I finally took it out of my candle drawer and enjoyed the sweet Creme Brulee scent. It went perfectly with my Creme Brulee Honey Bath (I featured it last week HERE), but I won't be repurchasing it, due to the ingredients. I prefer safer options, like Neom.
After my long, relaxing bath, I reached for the Aromatherapy Associates Travel Beauty Bag* (£28.00), starting with the Rose Body Wash in the shower. It smells gorgeous and it is very gentle on the skin. It can also be used as a bath foam. I used the Rose Body Cream to moisturise my skin and De-Stress Muscle gel on my legs to relief muscle tension after an intense cardio workout. I adore Aromatherapy Associates products and these are perfect for a bit of pampering or as a little treat for a weekend away.
As usual, I used a deep cleansing face mask and this time it was the new Super Facialist By Una Brennan Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Pore Purifying Clay Mask* (£8.99). It isn't available to buy yet, but it will be launching in Boots soon. It was designed to eliminate impurities and ease congestion, thanks to Salicylic Acid and Dead Sea Mud. It is suitable for oily and break-out prone skin and it is fantastic! It works in 5 minutes, leaving my face looking much clearer and it also reduces the size of any active breakouts.
I found this little Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask sample in my stash recently and I think I got it in a beauty box or with a GWP. Full size (60ml) costs £93.00, so I expected a lot from the formula. It is a lovely mask and it leaves my face feeling soft, plump and radiant, but it is far too expensive, so I wouldn't repurchase it.
To give my hands some TLC I used the new Organic Surge Gardeners Hand Scrub* (£7.99) and Hand Cream* (£7.99). The scent is incredible, with notes of Lime, Basil & Rosemary and my hands feel amazingly soft each time I use these two. My husband really likes the scent as well, which is always a bonus :)
I can't believe I am typing this, but... I tried Shellac manicure last night, after saying that I will never use UV light on my nails! Fail! To be completely honest, I was sick of my nails chipping easily and Shellac sounded like a simple solution for a long lasting manicure. I am totally against acrylic nails and I know from my own experience that they really damage your nails, but Shellac applies like a normal nail polish and you just set it with a UV lamp. It's quite expensive, but I wanted to give it a go. I will be writing a separate blog post about the full process next week. PS. I got these on ebay from a seller with really good feedback, as you can't buy Shellac if you are not in the nail industry.
Before getting comfy and falling asleep, I used This Works Sleep Balm (£10.00) and applied a generous amount of Lanolips 101 Ointment* (£10.99) onto my lips. Both amazing!
