Father's Day gift guide 2018

With Father's Day only 2 weeks away, I have a few suggestions for you, if you're still looking for gifts. From fragrance and grooming, to a must have Dremel 4300 multi-tool*, there's something for all budgets.

Let's start with the star of the show - the Dremel 4300 Multi-tool system*(£139.99). My husband loves DIY and he's always walking around with drills and saws etc, so this is the perfect addition to his toolbox. The 4300 comes in a hard case and this particular set contains a selection of attachments and accessories to carve, grind, polish, cut, sand and more. Every husband, dad and granddad definitely needs a Dremel multi-tool in their life,  so if you're feeling generous, this one will not disappoint.

The kit comes with a flexible shaft, line & circle cutter, a multipurpose cutting kit and a big selection of sanding, cutting and polishing attachments. I am not gonna lie, my husband was really, really happy to receive it and he will get plenty of use out of it.

Perfect for projects and DIY jobs which need done in the house and garden and a fantastic new 'toy' to play with. You can even use it to build a CNC machine, which is something my husband is planning to do, as he already got other parts for it. Possibilities are endless with the Dremel 4300.

You can buy it from www.dremeleurope.com or Dremel stockists.

Next we have something my husband will really appreciate in the Winter, as he always complains about feeling super cold when he's out working. Fibromyalgia sufferers struggle with the cold weather, as it increases the severity of their symptoms, so I really hope the 8K Flexwarm Heated Jacket* (£189.00) will help him this Autumn/Winter. It is powered by a pocket size power bank which connects to the jacket via USB and will keep the jacket warm for up to 6 hours. You get the Power Bank*(£39.00) with the jacket, but you can also buy it separately.

How does it work though? The Flexwarm® patented technology is very thin, so it can be printed and then layered onto fabric, which enables the 8K jackets to be ultra-lightweight, durable and washable. It evenly distributes heat, with 3 unique heating zones to offer complete control of your ideal body temperature (via the Powered by Flexwarm app). The temperature can be controlled via the jacket itself as well, but you get more options on the app. The design of the jacket is simple and sleek to snugly fit the contours of the body to ensure the heat doesn’t escape and the body is insulated even when the heating zones aren’t activated. It's a slim fit jacket, so I would recommend sizing up. My husband got the XL (he's an average height and size) and it is snug. I think it would be great if they offered bigger sizes as well to cater for more people. The jacket is also available in a ladies design and as a gilet. Overall, it's a great product, especially for those who are affected by cold weather.

Since almost everyone has a beard these days, the Braun Beard Trimmer*(£29.99) is a great gift idea. This model features a precision dial with 25 length settings to help create and maintain any beard style. The design is very durable and features lifetime lasting power and sharp blades. It can be used cordless for 40 minutes, or plugged in if needed.

The set contains 2 trimming combs, a cleaning brush, oil bottle, a Braun smart plug and a travel bag.

Available from Argos and other stockists.

Continuing with the theme of beards, the LAB Series Grooming Oil*(£27.00, 50ml) would be an ideal addition to the beard trimmer. This triple-blend grooming oil delivers an all-in-one solution for shaving and beard care, featuring Sea Buckthorn Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil, with vitamins and hydrators. It can be used as a pre-shave, a shave oil, beard oil and face oil. My husband uses it on his beard and face and it makes his beard hair feel softer and his skin is actually glowing and making me jealous! It smells lovely as well.

And if you're looking for a great mens moisturiser, the LAB Series Day Rescue Defense Lotion SPF 35*(£31.00, 50ml) is the one! Approved by my fussy husband, this formula is lightweight, hydrating and has SPF 35. It also features a HYDRA-ENDURE TECHNOLOGY™ to help combat visible effects of sun, dry climate, and pollution. I love the texture of it, as it feels lovely on the skin and provides instant hydration.

I had a chance to pick a few fragrances from www.notino.co.uk recently and I opted for one of Scott's favourite scents, the Jaguar Pace*(£22.29, 100ml) and a new one which had great reviews online - the Avon Perceive*(£7.90, 100ml).

Jaguar Pace features notes of Green Apple, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Lavender, Iris, Cashmere Wood,  Patchouli, Moss and Amberwood and it comes in a gorgeous bottle. It smells absolutely beautiful and I love it on my husband. Such great value as well, as it lasts on the skin all day.

The Perceive For Men by Avon is even more affordable and smells surprisingly good, featuring notes of Sage, Vanilla, Cedar, Musk, Mint, Tangerine and Patchouli. It doesn't last as well as the Jaguar Pace, but it's an absolute bargain and the bottle design is simple and elegant.

And as a little treat, pop in an adorable bottle of Chambord*(£7.00) in the gift bag. This Black Raspberry Liqueur tastes incredible and it comes in stunning packaging! Yum!

For cute cards, pop into Flying Tiger. This one was only £1 and it's perfect!
