Bare Minerals Original Foundation Review

I adore bareMinerals products and I am a huge fan of their bases, like the Complexion Rescue, BarePro, Blemish Rescue and BareSkin. I have tried every single base from their range, except the matte version for oily skin. Today I want to talk about the Original though, as I have been using it  a lot lately for a few reasons.

The BareMinerals Orginal SPF15 foundation*(£27.00) is a loose powder foundation offering sheer to full coverage with mineral non chemical SPF 15. It is available in 30 shades and consists of 5 mineral ingredients. It's also hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and free from parabens, binders and fillers.

It comes in plastic packaging with a twist mechanism inside, so you don't end up making a mess with the powder - essential with any loos powder formulas. I apply the foundation onto cleansed and moisturised skin with the Beautiful Finish Brush*(£26.00), but you can use any buffing brush or kabuki. This particular brush is synthetic and super soft and the shape helps distribute and blend the product perfectly. I use it with my other powder foundations and it's fab!

I sift some of the powder out onto the lid, then pick it up with the brush, tap excess off and apply onto my face in circular motions until I achieve the coverage I like. It looks very natural and luminous on the skin and covers angry blemishes and discoloration easily, making my complexion look more even. I actually find this to be the best foundation for breakout/acne coverage (as well as the Blemish Rescue one), as it stays put for 8h+ and sets concealer perfectly. I go in with a concealer first and then this on top and it's a dream team!

I have been using it as a setting powder too with a fluffy brush, as my own version of 'baking' and it works wonders! And I can finally set my under eye concealer properly and keep it there all day! Apparently you can even sleep in it, but I wouldn't recommend that, unless you really have to for some reason.

Overall it's a fantastic foundation and I found so many uses for it, that I am now using up the final few grams. Have you tried any of the bareMinerals bases? I love them all to be honest!
