Preparing My Summer/Holiday Beauty Essentials

I am slightly depressed about cancelling two weeks in France this year, but we are going to Poland instead, to visit my family and spend a couple of days by the sea. The weather will be beautiful and I can't wait to finally relax and enjoy some sunshine! I already started preparing my holiday essentials and I must admit - I won't be packing light... Oooops... :) Here are some products I am taking with me this year.

First of all - SPF! I actually won these Apivita products in Nic's giveaway last year and I kept them sealed until now. I gave them a go this weekend and I am happy with both, so they are coming with me this Summer. I will be using the SPF 50+ for Sensitive Skin on my face and the SPF 30 face & Body Milk on my decolletage, neck etc. I think I will get something cheaper, with a lower SPF for the rest of my body, because they won't be exposed to the sun all the time.

Filorga Anti-Ageing Micellar Solution* (£20.00, 400ml)

I was very sceptical about micellar waters when they first launched, but I started using them to remove most of my makeup recently and my skin is ok with it :) The new Anti-ageing Micellar Solution by Filorga will be launching this May via Marks & Spencer, but I got a chance to try it before it hits the stores. It is very gentle and removes heavy makeup easily, including waterproof mascara. I always follow with a balm/oil or cream cleanser after using this product, but I find it very soothing and hydrating. It is fragrance free as well, which is always a bonus, when you are dealing with sensitive skin or sunburn. I will probably decant 200 ml to a smaller bottle though, because the 400ml size is too big to take with me on holiday.

As a massive fan of the original Ole Henriksen Truth To Go Wipes, I was very excited about the launch of the new additions to the range, new packaging and most importantly - a cheaper price! You can now get 30 cloths for £12.00 and there are two other options to choose from: Grease Relief and Nurture Me. I think I will order them before the holiday as well :) These are absolutely amazing and don't leave my skin feeling dry or tight. The citrus and vanilla scent makes them even more ideal for summer. They contain vitamin C to brighten, lighten and tighten, green tea to stop collagen breakdown and micro algae to firm skin. I can't recommend them enough, especially for flights, weekends away, holidays or festivals.

Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream* (£8.99)
As a  mum, I need EVERYTHING in my bag, including antibacterial creams. The new launch by Lanolips  is perfect for those with dry skin, who find gels too drying. This Antibacterial Hand Cream conditions and protects your hands and instantly kills 99.9% of germs. It is also free from alcohol and triclosan and does not strip skin of natural oils. It feels quite thick and rich for an antibacterial product, but it doesn't leave a residue and sinks into the skin pretty quickly. I got it a couple of weeks ago, but it already became my handbag essential!

Warm Vanilla Sugar Pocketbac by Bath & Body Works (£2.45)
I am addicted to this stuff! It never leaves my bag and it is very affordable. It can feel quite drying, if you have sensitive skin, so I only use it on myself - my husband and baby boy will be using the Lanolips hand cream. I am a vanilla addict, so this gel gives me a quick dose of vanilla during the day and keeps my hands germ free when I am out and about.

Lanolips 101 Ointment* (£10.99)
This baby is perfect for lips, cuticles, elbows, knees and even sunburn! I think I mentioned it already, but my first experience with Lanolin was almost 3 years ago, when I was breastfeeding - it healed my poor nipples :) TMI, sorry :) Lanolin intensely hydrates, repairs and protects and it is 100% natural so you can't go wrong with it. My lips have been really dry lately and this ointment healed them  in just 2 days.

Weleda Citrus Deodorant (£8.95)
I ditched horrible, synthetic deodorants last year and my favourite safer option is this one by Weleda. I also like the Salt Of The Earth Deodorant, but this citrus scented spray is much more pleasant to use. It feels very refreshing, cooling and gives protection for 8-10 hours.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray* (£21.50)
The only hair styling product I will be taking with me is this spray. I love using it on straight or wavy hair for adding some texture. There is nothing more perfect than beachy waves on holiday, right? Oh, I will be taking dry shampoo as well :)

La Roche-Posay Serozinc (£12.99)
I totally blame bloggers for this one! I am addicted to the content of this blue bottle and my skin loves it. Serozinc feels soothing and you can use it on your face and body, when your skin is irritated, red and angry. It is also recommended for sunburn and nappy rash, which makes it a real must have for all mums out there. It is hard to get in UK, but I got this one on ebay.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir (£10.95)
Another holiday must have. I adore the refreshing scent and I always take it with me, even to the beach etc. Quick spray of this fancy elixir gives my skin a boost of radiance and makes it feel fresh and nourished.

Nourish Protect Cooling Toning Mist* (£11.00)
Are you sensing a real face mist problem? Yes, I just love them! Nourish Protect Cooling Toning Mist features a blend of antioxidants and plant extract to tone and balance skins pH, nourish and refresh.  It smells lovely and it is alcohol free. I already ordered another one for the holiday, because I go through about 2-3 bottles of various face mists a month... Oooops... :)

Orico Superico Vitamin Rich Face Oil* (£29.00)
I already know that my skin will be on the dry side as soon as the sun hits it, so I want to be prepared. I have been testing this rich face oil by Orico for the past 2 weeks and I absolutely love it. It feels very nourishing and  helps to sooth irritation and dryness. It features organic Tamanu, Rosehip and Jojoba oils and can be used instead of your AM and PM mosituriser.

Roger & Gallet Gingembre Fresh Fragrant Water* (£32.00)
I declared my love for this fragrance last week and I had to stop myself from using it multiple times a day :) haha. It is now safely stored in my holiday bag, so I can fully enjoy it when I am away. It is like summer in a bottle. Read my full review here.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR Shimmering Dry Oil (50ml, £21.00)
I also stocked up on my favourite shimmering body oil. Yes, it is pricey but... It smells sooo good! I use it on my arms, decolletage and hair and it adds a gorgeous glow, without feeling sticky or oily. It is a cult product for a reason :) I also have a cheaper version by The Body Shop, but it isn't as nice as this one.

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Eau Gourmande (£41.50)
I can't go anywhere without a vanilla fragrance :) Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille is usually my first choice, but it is much more expensive so I went for the cheaper Laura Mercier option instead. It smells sightly less sweet and it's more on the fresh side, but I still love it! I actually use it with other perfumes to add a hint of vanilla to the blend and it smells incredible!

Greenland Coconut-Tangerine Scrub Salt* (£9.95)
I thought I should also include the body care products I am taking with me and I simply cannot go anywhere without a good scrub. This one is totally dry, so it won't leak oil or explode in my suitcase and... it smells like coconuts and tangerines. I was tempted to eat it, haha :) It smells too good! It contains very fine 100% Atlantic sea salt and doesn't feel too rough. You simply use it on damp skin or mix it in the palm of your hand with some water, a shower gel or body oil.

Weleda Citrus Creamy Body Wash (£7.95)
Speaking of shower gels - I actually try to avoid them and prefer creamy formulas these days. Weleda's citrus range is my secret obsession and the body wash smells insanely good. I love using it in the morning to help me wake up and feel energised. It is very gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling soft and nourished. It is also very affordable. I am on my 3rd tube and I will be repurchasing it for the holiday.

Shiffa Dubai Sweetness Body Lotion* (£30.00)
The last body care product I decided to pack is this luxurious body lotion by Shiffa. It is probably the sweetest scent I have ever tried and the gorgeous aroma lingers on the skin all day! The formula feels soothing and cooling and it helps to firm and refine skin’s texture, leaving it super soft and hydrated.  The ingredients are natural and organic and every time I use this lotion, I feel like I am in a luxury spa. It's such a beautiful product! It contains shea and cocoa butters to nourish and soften, hazelnut oil and olive oil to firm, moisturise and tone, aloe vera and primrose oil to soothe repair and protect and ginger to relieve fatigue and warm your muscles. Sounds perfect doesn't it?

I also prepared two more posts, featuring skincare and makeup I will be taking with me, but I will be publishing them next month. I can't pack light... I need help :) haha.

Do you have any holiday beauty recommendations for me? What sunscreen do you use on your face and body? I would love to know your favourite holiday products.
