Nars Orgasm Blush Review

NARS ORGASM BLUSH £21.00 link

I finally got my first NARS product. It is probably the most obvious and most popular choice and it is the Orgasm blush. I didn't want to pay the full price for it,  so I was very excited when I managed to buy it from a blog sale for £13! What a bargain! It was only swatched once, but when I opened it it looked brand new, as you can see on the pictures below.

First of all, I love the packaging- it has a rubbery feel to it and the designs is very sleek. It features a  mirror inside and it is perfect for travelling, as it won't take up too much space in your makeup bag,

It is a lovely, peachy shade with a lot of gold shimmer and it is nicely pigmented. I didn't expect it to be so shimmery, but I really like the way it looks on my face. It is a very flattering shade and would suit any skin tone. It gives my face a bit of colour and a nice glow.

Unfortunately it didn't last on my face for too long. After 4 hours I couldn't see it on my cheeks anymore. I really like the formula of it though. It is easy to apply and blend, with very minimal fallout.

I am wearing no eye makeup :) excuse my tired eyes

LUXBOX review

I love beauty boxes, but after the "Glossybox fiasco" I unsubscribed from all of them. I have heard about Luxbox before, so I was happy to try it and share my opinion. The first box landed on my doorstep on Monday and I really like it. The packaging is lovely and there is a product variety. I remember getting two body lotions in one box before, well in my LuxBox all the products were totally different and one of them really surprised me :)

CIATE PAINT POT in shade BIG YELLOW TAXI

This beautiful Ciate Paint Pot is called Big Yellow Taxi* and it is a very bright yellow shade with a creme finish. It is not a neon yellow, so if you are not a fan of fluorescent colours this one will be the right choice for you. The application is streak free and I only needed two thin coats for an opaque finish. I also received a base coat and a top coat from Ciate and I have been using them for a couple of weeks with different nail polishes and they are really good. The base coat is called Underwear* and it is enriched with Lotus Flower to strengthen your nails and nurture the nail bed. Like every base coat, it prevents staining and discolouration of the nail. The Speed Coat Fast Dry Top Coat* gives a nice glossy finish, protects the colour, makes it last longer and prevents chipping.

Look Beauty Loud Lips lipstick in Tangerine Cream

LOOK BEAUTY LOUD LIPS in Tangerine Cream* £7.00 link

"Your one-coat route to a super-hot pout. The creamiest, on trend shades to take your look up a whole other notch - best stock up on your one-coat route to a super-hot pout! Tip: One coat should do it, but ensure even more staying power layer up two or three, blotting in between, then dust loose powder over a tissue over the top."

First of all, the packaging- it is a really lovely design that looks like metal, but is very light. I expected it to be very heavy, but surprisingly it is light like a feather :) The lipstick itself is very creamy and non drying, although if your lips are chapped and dry, I would advise you to exfoliate them with a lip scrub and moisturize them properly before you apply the lipstick. They colour is a peachy shade and it is very pigmented. The finish is slightly sheen but looks a bit matte too- I can't quite describe it :)  I also thought it will look more orange, but it doesn't. I love it. You can put one coat on for a more subtle look or build up more layers (2-3) for a bold colour. I like it both ways and I have been wearing Tangerine Cream on my lips all week! It stays on my lips for 2-3 hours and the formula is very light. You can purchase it online or in Superdrug for £7.00.

Jewellery for a lady :)

Hi everyone!
I can't believe it's Monday again! Today I would like to show you  a couple of gorgeous pieces from Wharton Goldsmith. I usually wear costume jewellery, but my husband always treats me to some beautiful pieces made of silver or gold. I like to wear fine jewellery for special occasions  and my collection is growing really fast :) I would be more than happy to receive any of the pieces featured in todays post :) Let's hope my husband is reading this. The flower rings are very feminine and delicate and the daisy bracelet would go with them perfectly. I also like glass beads and wear them on bracelets or on a chain, the one I featured is from Trollbeads. There is  a big selection of colours and designs on the Wharton Goldsmith website here. As a big fan of purple stones, I already own a beautiful Amethyst ring, very similar to the one you can see below and I love it. It is a statement piece and I always get a lot of compliments on it. The white watch would be a perfect gift and looks very classy and elegant. What is your favourite piece? Do you like elegant jewellery?

Look Beauty Cool Britannia Limited Edition Nail Pop

Last a week I received this Look Beauty Limited Edition Nail Pop. It is called Cool Britannia and it is inspired by the London 2012 Olympics. It is a a mixture of micro glitters in red, white and blue and gives a very unusual effect and full coverage in just one coat. It didn't chip for 2 days and it looks absolutely gorgeous on the nails! Like any other glitter nail polish, it is a pain to remove but doesn't scratch the surface of the nail as much, because the glitter particles are really really tiny.

DuWop Circle Block, Private Red lipstick and Crush Lava eyeshadow trio review

Private Red lipstick* 4g £19.00 link

I like the idea of a lipstick that changes colour depending on your skins pH balance. It is a beautiful shade of red and can be applied lightly for a subtle look, used as a lip stain (it stays on for hours) or applied normally to create a statement lip. It feels very moisturising and applies beautifully. It feels like a lip balm, but the colour payoff is amazing. It is highly pigmented and lasts on my lips for a good 4-5 hours. I was pleasantly surprised and I must say- it is the most hydrating lipstick I have ever used. I also love the packaging, it is a very sleek design and feels really expensive plus... it clicks when you close it :)

Crush Lava* 7.6g £21.00 link

Another product I was pleasantly surprised with . The pigmentation of the Crush Lava eye shadow trio is amazing, the formula is very creamy, sticks to the lid without a primer and stays on all day! I like all the colours and they can be used together or separately. My favourite must be the gold one. I reach for it very often, use it allover my eyelids and add black liquid liner. I also used it as an eyeliner and it looked beautiful! Although all the colours are very shimmery, I use them for daytime looks. They look lovely on tanned skin and the gold can also be used as a highlighter. The packaging is simple and sturdy and you get quite a lot of product for your money.

Circle Block* in shade light 9.6g £24.00 link

I was very confused when I opened the packaging of this concealer. My first thought was- Why is there a lip balm in the lid? :) haha. After reading about it I found out that the lid contains a water resistant shield that prepares and moisturizes  your skin and you are meant to use it before applying the concealer. As you can see on the pictures below, the treatment shield and concealer itself are very dark. I thought I got the darkest shade, but surprisingly it is 01-light! I have got an olive skin tone and use fake tan weekly so it is ok for me, but for average white European skin tones this shade would be too dark. The primer is a bit orange and looks quite scary when applied on its own, but I only used a tiny amount, followed by the creamiest concealer I have ever tried. It really is incredibly creamy and feels lovely on my skin. It stayed on for most of the day and made my dark circles less visible. You can see the results on the photos below.
