Last of all, if you are visiting Lake Windermere you won’t want to miss the chance to go on a hike. There are many to choose from, but the best has to be Strolling around the lake – Wray Castle loop from Far Sawrey. On this 3-and-a-half-hour intermediate hike, you will walk following the lake and cover around 8.5 miles including around the 4th mile, the beautiful Wray Castle. The paths on this provide good access, and this makes it suitable for a range of hikers looking to get in their daily exercise while making the most of the scenic views.
