Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP review

I have been dying to try the Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP* (30ml, £41.00) since it launched last year and I am not gonna lie - it was mostly due to the stunning packaging... I know... haha... I just can't get over it. But is the fragrance itself as beautiful as the flacon?

Well... Good news - it smells gorgeous! Decandence is sexy, woody, powdery and slightly sweet, but sophisticated and different to anything else I already have in my collection.

It features top notes of Italian Plum, Iris and Saffron, followed by heart notes of Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine Sambac and settling into a rich base of Liquid Amber, Vertiver and Papyrus Woods.

At first, it smells quite sweet, but it settles into a more powdery and woody fragrance. It actually reminds me of parma violets, but it might be just me. It is lovely! I am really impressed.

And the bottle - it's a love it or hate it kind of situation. Some find it tacky, but I think it's unique and beautifully designed. Described as a symbol of opulence and glamour, the handbag shape features emerald green glass, a python patterned cap and a gold chain. The 50 and 100ml bottles also have a black tassel. Mine is a 30ml bottle without the tassel.

Do you like the design of the bottle? Have you tried Marc Jacobs Decadence?
