Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and Touche Healthy Mix Concealer review

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation* £10.99 available from Boots, Superdug, asos.com
"Give your skin a radiance boost with Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation – made from a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result! Its fresh and instant blending gel texture blends and glides onto the skin for an even, natural finish with no mask effect. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed and the skin’s radiance is boosted for up to 16 hours*. Made from an instant anti-fatigue vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates. Available in 6 radiance-boosting shades."

I really wanted to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, after reading some rave reviews and seeing it in "Favourites posts" on many beauty blogs. As a massive Bourjois fan, I had an urge to buy the foundation as soon as it came out, but I had too many other products to use up.  I finally got a chance to try it and I absolutely love it as an everyday base!!! The gel formula is light, gives a natural finish and adds a hint of colour and radiance to my face. It gives light to medium coverage and has a yellow undertone which makes it perfect for my skin tone. (I got shade 53- Beige Clair- a warm medium beige shade). It is very easy to blend and I use my fingers or a buffing brush to apply it. I would recommend it for good skin days, because to me it feels and looks like a tinted moisturiser. If I use a concealer for breakouts and scars and add a little bit of powder, I am happy with the final effect and my makeup will stay in place all day. Without powdering, I get about 4-6 hours of wear out of it. The Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum is my favourite at the moment. It doesn't look cakey and it has  a light fruity scent, which I love.

Overall, I would recommend it as a tinted moisturiser for good skin days, to add radiance and even out skin tone. It also comes with an added bonus of skin friendly, fruity goodness :)

Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix Illuminating Concealer* £8.49
"Double action concealer for a brighter complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result! Conceal those imperfections in the stroke of a brush and smooth away dark circles. It is enriched with light reflecting pigments to illuminate the darker areas of the face. Its unifying texture will glide onto the skin with a feather-light feel and give you a truly illuminated result! Its innovation: A practical brush tip pen releases just the right amount of formula for a precise application, perfect for touch ups on the go! Available in 3 natural shades suitable for all skin tones. And it’s good for your skin: Antioxidant vitamins C and E, Hypoallergenic formula, Dermatologically tested."
I am obsessed with concealers and I am always looking for something better/new.
The Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix Concealer is the newest addition to my concealer family :)
It is a twist-pen with a brush applicator, very easy to use and fuss free.
It is meant to hide imperfections, but I only use it under my eyes.
It is light and easy to blend, doesn't settle into fine lines and doesn't look cakey.
It gives very sheer coverage, so it won't conceal blemishes or scarring, but it does a good job at illuminating dark circles, using light reflecting pigments. The shade I got (62) is too dark for my natural skin tone, but it is  perfect when I use fake tan. If I have extreme dark circles, I like to mix it with a full coverage concealer, like the original Bourjois Healhy Mix Concealer (in a tube).

Overall, I wouldn't classify this product as a concealer, I would call it an illuminating pen.
It gives sheer coverage and reflects light, but doesn't cover imperfections.
Just like the Healthy Mix foundation, it contains a unique blend of skin friendly vitamins.

  3. I've not tried the serum version of healthy mix, but I love the orginal healthy mix foundation. I like a nice light coverage so this sounds great, although if I remember correctly when I was swatching them both in Boots the lightest serum shade still seemed a bit dark x

  29. I keep repurchasing the healthy mix concealer (not the illuminating one) as it's great at hiding bags and spots, healthy to the skin and a great colour match for me. However I found the foundation version just didn't last long enough and slid off pretty easy.

  30. Can someone tell what the name of the shade 53 is? Example : vanilla, beige....
And do you thinkit is suitable for someone with neutral to pinkish undertones??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It is called Beige Clair -It is a warm beige with yellow undertones.
Number 52 is the Vanilla one and it is much lighter than this one.

    2. I think you should get 52- vanilla if your skin has pinkish undertones.
