Lily Lolo Mineral Shimmer Stardust and Mineral Cover Up in Barely Beige review

I mentioned in my review of Lily Lolo lipstick (here) that I also received the mineral shimmer and concealer.
I love mineral makeup and I am trying to use it more often.
I have been using both products for over three weeks and I really, really  like them :)

LILY LOLO MINERAL SHIMMER STARDUST* 6g £12.49 link

"Mineral Shimmer is a sheer, ultra-fine powder that offers a gentle shimmer & glistening finish without looking heavy or artificial. Gentle on the skin, protecting rather than damaging your complexion."

I adore  this product. I got a little sample of it a couple of months ago and I fell in love with it instantly.
It is a perfect highlighter and adds a lovely, subtle shimmer to my face.
It looks nice on pale and tanned skin (I tried it after fake tanning my face and on pale skin)
It feels very light on my skin and gives a lovely finish.
I use it on the top of my cheekbones, nose, temples and chin, or mix it with a loose powder for an allover glow.
Because it is a mineral product, it protects the skin and is non clogging.
You only need a tiny amount of it each time, so it will last for a long time, as you get a lot of product for your money.

LILY LOLO MINERAL CONCEALER* in Barely Beige 5g £7.49 link

"Mineral concealer provides a heavier coverage than our mineral foundation. Effortlessly concealing hard to cover blemishes, imperfections and dark circles, you will be amazed at the staying power of such a soft delicate loose powder."

Another lovely and long lasting face product from Lily Lolo.
I have a love/hate relationship with concealers, as they tend to look terrible under my eyes, but this one looks very natural and is very lightweight.
I got it in shade Barely Beige and I think that it would suit most average white skin tones.
It is perfect for concealing under eye circles, breakouts and pigmentation marks.
It gives medium coverage but it is buildable, giving full coverage with two layers.
I prefer one layer to be honest, especially under my eyes, as it looks more natural.
Again, it is a skin friendly product and won't clog your pores.

MAC Myth lipstick review

MAC Satin Lipstick- Myth 3g £14.00 link

I love the look of nude lipsticks but in my opinion it is really hard to find a perfect nude/beige shade.
I bought a couple of MAC lipsticks recently and I couldn't resist picking up Myth.
It seemed like a perfect shade, but I wasn't sure if the formula will be creamy enough.
Myth is a light neutral nude shade with a satin finish and it is very pigmented.
It feels fairly comfortable on the lips and stays put for about 4-6 hours.
It isn't very moisturising, but it isn't  drying either. I am still not sure about it.
I prefer to use a lip balm before applying this shade, but in the swatches I used it on its own.

I am not in love with Myth, but I will be wearing it with a lip balm in the future.
I found a perfect nude recently and I will be reviewing it soon- it is the gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte in shade 02 Sensual Silk.

If you were considering buying Myth, I would give it a miss ladies :)

If you own Myth, what are your thoughts?

New in: Real Techniques Powder Brush and Blush Brush

I love Real Techniques brushes and I recently added two new ones to my collection.
There was a "buy one get one 1/2 price" offer in Boots, so I couldn't resist it :)

REAL TECHNIQUES POWDER BRUSH £12.99 link
I have a couple of powder brushes, but this one must be the softest one!
It picks up the perfect amount of powder and gives a nice buffed finish.
The quality is amazing. It didn't shed one bristle since I bought it  and after 5 washes it still feels extremely soft and looks brand new. I didn't really need a new powder brush, but it was definitely a good investment. I use it  every day.

REAL TECHNIQUES BLUSH BRUSH £9.99 link
This brush is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
It is the best blush brush I have ever used. Just like the powder brush, it is very soft and fluffy and doesn't shed bristles. The domed shape is perfect for blush application.
If I use it with a very pigmented blusher, I apply it very gently and it picks up just enough product to add a bit of colour to my cheeks. For more subtle colours, I have to repeat the process and apply a couple of layers.
I absolutely love this brush and I can highly recommend it.
I also use it with bronzers and powder highlighters, making it a great multitasker.

Witch Blemish Stick review

WITCH BLEMISH STICK £2.89 link
"The ultimate in blemish control, Witch Blemish Stick helps break down excess oils and fights the bacteria that cause spots. Simply dab on as often as required, preferably as soon as blemishes start to appear. Fights the bacteria that causes spots. Gets to work instantly.  Dab on as often as required when blemishes first appear. Great for all skin types but especially oily / combination skin. As with all skincare products use with caution on sensitive skin."
I have been getting quite a lot of breakouts under my chin and on my neck.  I don't know what caused them, because my skin is usually very clear. I always use Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Concentrate, but I decided to try something cheaper this time, to see if it works.
I got the Witch Blemish Stick from ASDA for £1.50 on sale so it is an absolute bargain! The packaging is sturdy and the cap is very secure. The scent is quite strong, but it doesn't linger in the skin for too long.
I apply it a couple of times a day to affected areas if I don't wear makeup, or twice a day if I wear foundation.
I always use a small amount, because it tends to leave a sticky residue if I use too much of it.
It claims to work immediately and to be honest, it really does. It reduces redness and if I have "fresh" breakouts, my skin stings a bit. It is a good sign to me.
I definitely noticed an improvement since I started using it about three weeks ago.
It helps to heal breakouts and prevents them as well. It must be the magic of witch hazel :)
I also use it on my T-zone when it is getting out of control and it helps to reduce sebum production on my skin.
You can't go wrong with it in my opinion and it is worth trying.
If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend doing a patch test first, but you should be ok :)

Pink October: Look Beauty Flirty Five

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.
October is a month of Breast Cancer awareness and many brands release special edition products to support this cause.
Look Beauty is donating 50p from every "Flirty Five " product sold in October, so if you want to support a charity called Look Good, Feel Better, you can do it by buying one of the 5 pink Look Beauty products:

- Loud Lips Lipstick in shade 03 Rock Candy* - £7.00
-Loud Lips Lip Liner in shade Rock Candy*  - £4.00
-Nail Pop in shade Corsage* - £5
-Statement Eyes Mono Eyeshadow in shade 21* - £4.00
-Make Me Blush Blusher in shade Pinch* - £8

I created a look with all the products and I actually love it! The pink lipstick is very creamy and so is the lip liner.
I am pleasantly surprised with the great quality of both lip products.
The blusher and eye shadow are lovey too and will suit all skin tones.
As a nail polish lover I painted my nails with the Nail Pop as soon as I got it :)
It is a gorgeous "barbie" pink and it's been on my nails for two days (so far) without chipping!

If you want a bit of pink in your life October is the perfect month for it!
You can buy Look Beauty products in Superdrugs and on Look Beauty website.
