New Canteen Menu at Namaste by Delhi Darbar

One of my favourite places to eat in Glasgow - Namaste by Delhi Darbar in St Enoch Centre just launched their new Canteen Menu, and I was kindly invited to try it out recently. It was absolutely delicious as always and I love the selection of dishes and toppings. We tried all the new dishes, and also ordered some family favourites. Scott loves their butter chicken, and Zac couldn’t resist the chicken pakora.

The new Canteen Menu is available everyday between 12.00-5.30 and the dishes range from £9-£11, and the portions are very generous. Perfect for brunch/lunch or an early dinner. The Canteen Menu dishes include:

-Pakora Naan Wraps (with chicken or vegetable pakora inside, and a choice of dunking sauce- South Indian garlic or Chasni).

-Canteen Baked Potatoes (with butter and cheese, filled with one the three options: South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken,  Chicken Chasni or Chana & Paneer)

-Pizza Naans (Soft naan base with cheese and chutney, baked warm and topped with, South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken or Chicken Chasni, or a veggie option with Vegetables.

I chose the vegetable pakora wrap with a South Indian garlic sauce, and it was 10/10, sooo full of flavour, and the combination of textures was spot on. Very filling as well. And dipped in the warm sauce, it was possibly my favourite combination I’ve tried at Namaste so far.

Mia chose the baked potato with chicken chasni (she’s a baked potato lover). The chasni sauce is so tasty, not too sweet, and packed with flavour and it’s such a great fusion dish, combining a British classic with an Indian filling.

We also got the Naan pizza with a South Indian Garlic chilli chicken topping for the table, and everyone loved it (I had it without the chicken). Yum! Such a good one to share.

We finished with our family favourite: Gulab Jamun for dessert, and of course the incredible Masala Chai.  Soooo good, even Zac loves it, and he doesn’t normally drink warm drinks. If you ever go to Namaste, try their Masala Chai, you won’t regret it. Sweet, spiced, creamy goodness.

I would also recommend the Mango & Ginger Lassi, if you’ve never tried it, so yummy!

The poppadoms and spiced onions are always incredible. Here are some extra photos of the food and decor. The atmosphere is lovely and you would never know you are inside a busy shopping centre, as it's just so cosy. How stunning!

Scott's butter chicken, rice and vegetable pakora.

Delicious Biscoff Milkshake.

Birthday Cake and ice cream.

We had such a great time and we really really enjoyed the food at Namaste, as always. Amazing flavours and great value, especially with the new Canteen Menu. I was so full from the Naan Wrap. I will be going back for sure for lunch and Chair tea. The Canteen Menu is available every day from 12.00-17.30.

Located at St Enoch Centre. Book here.
