Bobbi Brown Molten Metals Liquid Eyeshadows

I was kindly sent the new Bobbi Brown Molten Metals Liquid Eyeshadows*(£18.50) last month and I can honestly say that I haven't been this excited about a makeup item in a while. I mentioned these in my Spring edit, but I have to dedicate a full blog post and swatches to this product, because I love it so much!

I have three out of the four shades: Copperhead, Molten Petal and Gold Fusion and they're all gorgeous! The formula is water based, so be careful not to spill it (I had a little accident and spilled one of the shadows on the sofa!). The Molten Metal Liquid Eyeshadows are super pigmented and stay put all day without smudging or creasing. I am so impressed! Much thinner consistency than other liquid shimmery shadows I have tried, so they feel very lightweight on the eye. The shimmer is ultra fine, so you don't have to worry about chunks of glitter transferring onto your face, but you still get a stunning sparkle effect which catches the light beautifully.

I apply these with the applicator (which is great btw) and blend with my finger if I want to be quick, or I do the crease with a dark brown shadow to add some dimension and then apply the Molten Metals on the lid and blend slightly. You can also use these as a shimmery top coat for any look if you dab it on gently with your fingers. Very versatile. I also adore the luxe gold packaging.

Swatches with flash above and swatches in daylight below.

Wearing Copperhead and Gold Fusion in the photos above (blended with my finger) and all three blended in the photo below.

The Bobbi Brown Molten Metal Liquid Eyeshadows are limited edition, so I would definitely recommend trying some out in store if you get a chance or ordering online as a treat. You won't be disappointed! I have been wearing all three non stop!

Available from John Lewis and Bobbi Brown (currently 20% off and free delivery making it £14.80).
