Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Sticks review

I don't own many stick foundations, so I was very excited to try these Teint Idole Ultra Wear Sticks*(£27.00) by Lancome. I have two shades - one base colour, which can also be used as a concealer and one dark shade which I have been using as a bronzer and contour.

The formula is very creamy and doesn't feel heavy. I just apply it straight from the 'bullet' and then blend it with a buffing brush or a beauty blender if I want it to look even more natural. The formula is oil-free, highly pigmented and offers buildable coverage with a  matte finish. It's described as a powder-crème texture and doesn't really need setting with any extra products in my opinion. Maybe a touch of a very light powder on oily areas if you wish.

It's a versatile product and I use is as foundation, concealer and contour. It's very easy to blend and once it sets it will stay on all day. I get at least 12 hours of wear out of it. It's also fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and tested under dermatological control, so it should be suitable for sensitive skin as well as all other skin types. It also offers broad Spectrum SPF 15, which is great for daytime.

I have two shades: 025 Beige Lin which I use allover my face and shade 16 Cafe, which is great for contouring. There's 20 shades to choose from, which is fine, but there could be a better selection, especially for darker skin tones.

Left: 025 Beige Lin. Right:16 Cafe

Overall, it's a big thumbs up from me. I love the natural finish and high coverage and lasting power.
