Current Beauty Favourites

I enjoy using skincare products much more during the colder Autumn/Winter months, as I tend to look for more hydrating, nourishing treats for the  skin. Here are some of my current favourites. From purse friendly options, to a bit more pricey ones.

1. Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Oil (£45.00)- With the busy Christmas period, gift guides and events, I need something to help me relax and unwind at night time. This oil is incredible and a few drops transform my bath int a SPA experience. All natural and very effective. Recommended for muscle and joint aches, back and neck pain, pre and post exercise, menstrual cramps, poor circulation, arthritis. It is a miracle product. I actually started suffering very bad menstrual cramps a few months ago, which keep continuing with each cycle and this oil helps me so much on days when I am literally curling into a ball with pain. Aromatherapy Associates do loads of  fab minis for Christmas, so if you can get a small bottle of this to try in a set, I would definitely recommend it.

2. Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Masque*(£55.00)- I am slightly obsessed with this face mask. It contains highly-concentrated botanical extracts, a calming dipeptide, and hyaluronic acid to 'intensively soothe and replenish temporary skin reactivity'. I suffer from chronic urticaria and the smallest effort brings me out in a rash. Swollen red bumps allover my full body from walking. Lovely... When it's bad, I get it on my face as well. That's when I love to use this mask, as it helps to sooth and reduce redness and discomfort. I also find it very helpful with any dryness from central heating in the Winter.

3. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist (£24.00)- A staple in my skincare cabinet. I can't live without it and I feature it on the blog quite often. It is super hydrating, soothing and makes my skin feel refreshed and supple. I use it every single day, morning and night, sometimes a quick spray during the day over my makeup as well. I can't recommend it enough. Very affordable as well.

4. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream* (£43.50) - A recent discovery, but it is my new favourite face cream. How have I not tried it earlier? It instantly hydrates and boosts moisture levels in your skin and it feels light and and soothing. I highly recommend it. You can get a smaller size to try as well, if you don't want to buy the big 100ml jar. I use it day and night and I hardly made a dent in it so far. AMAZING! My friend who suffers with dry skin also tried it and she fell in love with it and confirms my opinion. You have to try it!

5. Superfacialist By Una Brennan Rose Intense Moisture Mask* (£9.99). It's all about hydration in the winter and this mask is absolutely incredible, considering the price tag. Usually on offer in Boots as well so you get it even cheaper. It hydrates, soothes, plumps and adds radiance. Everything I look for in a moisturising mask. It contains White Willow extract, known to enhance skin cell turnover, Vitamin E and Urea with soothing Marshmallow extract to hydrate, plump and replenish skin.

6. Superfacialist By Una Brennan Rose Scrub* (£8.99). I actually don't use this scrub on my face, as it has little bits in it, which isn't great for someone with active breakouts, but I have been using it on my hands to make them feel super smooth and hydrated. So lovely and it smells beautiful too.

7. Argan 5 Moroccan Rose Night Oil* (£12.99). Now this is a very pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much from this oil, but I absolutely love it. It has a very light texture and absorbs into the skin quickly, without leaving a greasy residue. It is a perfect addition to my night time routine and a drop or two is enough to add that extra boost of nourishment. Available from Waitrose.
