Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit Review

I've been meaning to share this little gem with you for ages, but as usual... I've been a busy bee The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit*(£6.49) has been a staple in my makeup bag for a good few months now and I absolutely love it!

First of all - very affordable and usually on offer in Boots (3 for 2 etc), so it is worth picking up, if you don't want to break the bank. Downside - it only comes in one shade, but I personally think it is suitable for light and medium skin tones. It comes in a very light, slim compact that feels a bit cheap, but it is perfectly fine and actually pretty durable. I just wish it had a mirror inside.

The three shades include a light beige for highlighting, a warm brown for bronzing and a cool toned brown for sculpting, all matte. The texture is easy to work with, blends nicely and doesn't have too much fallout.

HOW TO
1. Light Powder-To highlight, dust over cheekbones, chin, down the centre of your nose & up to the centre of your forehead.
2. Medium Brown-To bronze, sweep powder across your cheeks, forehead & nose where the sun would naturally hit.
3. Dark Brown-To sculpt, apply to the hollows of your cheeks, blending out to the ears, along the hair line & down the sides of your nose.

I personally follow all of the steps, except bronzing my nose, as it doesn't suit me. The effect can be as dramatic, or as natural as you wish. I like a happy medium :)

Overall, it's a lovely little kit and I am getting more use out of it than I ever expected.

Available from Boots.
