Yes, it looks and feels like lard and it has absolutely no scent whatsoever, but it is incredible at removing all traces of makeup, including the most stubborn waterproof mascara. It's not better than my favourite DHC Cleansing Oil, but it is just as good and I absolutely love it.
It's a solid balm that transform into a silky oil upon application and rinses off with water without leaving a residue on your skin. Simply massage it into your face and all of your makeup will melt in seconds! I remove it with a wet flannel, but you can use a muslin cloth as well. The formula is very, very gentle and suitable for all skin types (even the most sensitive), it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes and you only need a tiny amount for each use. Fantastic!
I personally love a beautiful scent in my cleansing oils/balms, so this is my only complaint. I understand why it's fragrance free though. To make my cleansing experience better, every time I use this balm, I add a drop of the amazing Antonia Burrell Natural Glow Cleansing Oil into the palm of my hand and I am in heaven! Seriously, I find cleansing soooo therapeutic and relaxing!
Overall, I am super impressed with this product and I will definitely repurchase it in the future. I wasn't sure what the fuss was about until I tried it myself, but I am now a complete convert!
