Current skincare favourites

Skincare is very personal and what works for me might not be ideal for you, but I like sharing my favourites sometimes. I have been trying to stick to the same products for a while and my skin seems to be happy with this little routine, so I thought I will let you know what I have been using.

I start with the Jurlique Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gel* in the mornings. I find it very refreshing and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. The gel contains exfoliating micro beads, so it's a good gentle exfoliator on it's own but when I feel like I have to exfoliate a bit more, I use it with the Foreo Luna*. I adore this little device and I think that it's much kinder to skin than a traditional face brush. I also love using the other side of it for a gentle face massage. In the evenings, I remove my makeup with my absolute fave - the DHC Pore Cleansing Oil or the original DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. Both amazing! I do it twice to make sure my skin is properly cleansed. Double cleansing at night is a must if you wear makeup.

After using the REN Clarifying Toning Lotion (only at night), I spritz my skin with Jurlique's Rosewater Balancing Mist. It has been my favourite for a long time and I love how hydrating it is. It also smells lovely. For an extra boost of moisture, I apply a tiny amount of Hydraluron Moisture Jelly*. I prefer it to the original Hydraluron, because the dispenser is much more hygienic. Another moisture booster? Yep... I am on my second bottle of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum and it is just amazing! I am slightly addicted to it. If your skin is dehydrated, give it a go and you will be amazed with the results, especially combined with Hydraluron. In the evening, I massage a drop of Organic Surge Extra Care Replenishing Oil* into my skin and in the mornings, I go for something with SPF.

I always use an eye cream as well and my current favourite is the new Benefit Puff Off!*. It is soooo good! The formula is light and super hydrating and the metal applicator helps to de-puff and smooth fine lines. It also feels incredibly soothing and refreshing.

I use many face masks, but the Dr Weil For Origins Mega-Bright Dark Spot Correcting Mask* deserves a special mention. I have some scarring and pigmentation so anything that helps with that gets thumbs up from me. It's pricey, but it works wonders overnight, leaving my skin looking brighter and refreshed.

Have you discovered any skincare gems recently? Is your routine simple or complicated?
