March Favourites

I always get super excited about preparing and writing my monthly favourites posts. I just love sharing my new skincare and makeup discoveries or simply some old products I have been enjoying. I didn't wear a lot of makeup in March to be honest and focused on skincare, body care and hair care, but I had to include some makeup gems too :)

I actually have two favourite cleansers this month. The one I have been using every morning is REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser* (£16.00). It has a light, creamy texture so it isn't too rich for my daytime routine and it leaves my skin feeling soft, refreshed and radiant. It also feels very soothing and I absolutely love it! I use it with a flannel and hot water. It can also be used as a night time cleanser, as it removes makeup really well, but I prefer it in the morning. It has a subtle rose scent, which is very pleasant.

At nigh time, I have been using the  Organic Surge Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser* (£12.50). I was really happy when I found out about it's launch, because Organic Surge products are affordable and effective. This cleanser is slightly more creamy than the REN one and I double cleanse with it, using a flannel and following with my Magnitone brush. It smells lovely and helps to add radiance and life to dull skin. It has brightening and anti-ageing properties, removes makeup easily and works well with all skin types. PS. Remember to avoid contact with eyes, when you use most cleansers. These two were slightly irritating, when they got into my eyes.
I usually go through one eye cream per month and in March I used up this one. It is lovely! My under eye area is quite dry so I moisturise it 2-4 times a day and this eye cream worked wonders at smoothing the skin, making it feel more plump, reducing puffiness and dark circles. It does everything I expect from an eye cream, feels light but hydrating and doesn't leave a horrible residue. It contains peptides, amino acids, B vitamins, antioxidants, Vitamin-rich kale extract, macqui berry and pomegranate enzymes. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

Ginvera Marvel Gel (10g sample, £2.00)
I am addicted to this stuff! Seriously. I should probably mention it every single month. I don't usually exfoliate with anything more than my daily exfoliating toners, hot cloth cleansers and my Magnitone brush, but... when I need the smoothest skin possible and want to get rid of all dry patches etc, this is my saviour! It is a green gel and you simply massage it into the skin and feel the dead skin cells dissolve under your fingertips. You can read my full review here and see the gel in action. It also removes less stubborn blackheads and helps to control oil. and It is AMAZING! For only £2.00, it is definitely worth a try, if you are unsure about buying the full size!
I have been using this toner after either my Clarins Exfoliating Toner or the REN Clarifying Lotion and it is lovely! If you consider the La Roche Posay Serozinc a toner, it means that I triple tone at the moment :) haha. I just love toners, ok? :) This one contains orange flower water, aloe vera and centella asiatica extract and it feels very refreshing and soothing. It is alcohol free, natural and full of skin friendly ingredients. It also stimulates healing and skin regeneration, which is something I always look for in skincare products. On top of that, it smells absolutely beautiful!
I was kindly sent a selection of Jurlique products to try out and this face cream really impressed me. It is super hydrating and leaves my face feeling soooo soft! It contains powerful plant oils and an antioxidant complex to help with dehydration and premature ageing and it is just a dream to apply. I also adore the subtle rose scent. Perfect!

I was really curious about this 6-in-1 product, but I didn't expect too much from it. I was sooo wrong! It is fantastic! It promises to cleanse, condition, reduce drying time, detangle, add volume and eliminate frizz in one simple step. It is a creamy mousse and doesn't really lather up, which felt strange at the begging, but it was pleasant to use and I just left it in my hair for 5 minutes to work its magic. Surprisingly, it left my hair clean, soft, more voluminous and frizz free. It was hard to believe, but yes - it works! Such a lovely product. I might actually buy the full size.

My hair is flat and fine and I have to use various products to make it look more voluminous, especially when it is freshly washed. I normally use dry shampoo for this purpose, but it really annoys me that I have to use it on clean hair. Well... This baby is the answer to my problems. It doesn't leave a residue and it is totally translucent. I simply spray it into the roots and anywhere I want to add some texture. It is incredible! If you have fine, flat hair, you need it in you life!

In winter, I was using this cream on my face to deal with dehydration, but my skin is more on the oily side now, so I decided to use this miracle worker on my elbows and knees to keep them soft and nourished. There is nothing worse than dry elbows and knees, especially when you fake tan regularly. This rich emollient cream provides instant relief, soothes and protects. No more dry patches! Yay!

Unreal Tan Eraser£17.99 £11.48
Ok, this product is THE STRANGEST thing I have ever tried, but it is a must have for fake tan lovers! It gets rid of fake tan build up, or the worst tanning mistakes and preps the skin beautifully. As you can see on the photo above, it has the strangest look and consistency. I don't even know how to describe it :)  I simply apply it to damp skin and massage it in until it creates a layer of foam. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes (it doesn't slide off or melt) and remove it with the Unreal Exfoliating Towel and hot water. If you  can't be bothered to stand in the shower for 10 minutes, you can soak in a bath as well. I prefer the first method, because it works quicker. This strange (but incredible) product is currently on sale, so I would recommend ordering a tub, if you are a fake tan addict, or want an emergency product to deal with a tanning disaster :)

Unreal Personal Tanning Mist* travel size £14.99
I love using tanning mists when I want a fuss free tan. This one is easy to apply and gives a natural looking tan without streaking and going patchy. It contains Ecocert Organic DHA to provide a gorgeous tan, without the horrible fake tan smell.  I just use it on my decolletage, arms and hands at the moment to look more bronzed, but it works really well allover my body as well. The colour takes 8 hours to fully develop, but you get a guide colour as well so you know if you applied the tan evenly. If you want a much quicker result, try the Unreal Rapid Bronzing Mist. It works in just 2 hours!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £4.99
I repurchased it recently, because my son destroyed my first one and I have been using it a lot. It helps to achieve a flawless finish and works with all cream and liquid foundations and concealers.
Oh, this foundation is dreamy! It is one of my favourite bases ever! It feels silky, luxurious and blends beautifully, leaving my skin looking perfect! It gives medium to full coverage and a radiant finish. I used up my first bottle recently, so imagine my excitement when I received two more in the post. I was actually planning to repurchase it, because it is relatively cheap for such a luxurious product. I haven't heard a bad thing about this foundation and I can't recommend it enough.  It simply glides onto the skin, nourishes with vitamin E and stays on my face all day, even without a powder. Incredible!
I have been using this powder on my t-zone to prevent shine and it is lovely! The formula is lightweight , doesn't clog pores and contains vitamin E, borage and avocado oils to nourish the skin. Again, I recently used up my first one and I was very excited to have it back in my life.
Oh... Hourglass... My bank account hates you, but I am obsessed and want every single Hourglass powder and blush available! I featured the Radiant Magenta blush in my Feb favourites, but the new addition to my collection is equally gorgeous! It works as a blush and contour for me and my cheeks are done with just one sweep of a brush. Perfect. Read my full review here

Roberto Cavalli EDP 30ml £29.75
I used to be obsessed with this EDP, but I am trying to use up some perfumes and I just said goodbye to this beaut! It smells goregous! It is the definition of sexy (in my opinion), without being too 'in your face'. It features notes of Pink Peppercorn, Green Mandarin, Orange Flower, Mirabelle Plum, Roasted Tonka Beans and Benzoin Laos. It's simply beautiful. I will probably repurchase it in the future.

I always finish with the same question in my favourites post, but... have you tried any of the products featured in this post? Are you tempted to give some of them a go?
