Add an Extension

If you feel as though your family is outgrowing the space you have then you may be tempted to move. With that being said, this is not always the best solution. Adding an extension could easily be a worthwhile option. The bigger the extension, the more value you can expect to add, so make sure that you give this some thought. If you are not able to add to your home with an extension then building a summerhouse or even an office pod could be the way to go.

Converting a Garage

If you haven’t got the money to extend then another option would be for you to convert your garage. If you can do this into an office or if you can convert your loft then this will free up a lot of room. It’s worth considering whether or not there is a practical need for the space you are converting. With all options considered, a garage conversion is one of the cheapest for you to go with.

Make it Energy-Efficient

All homes are now rated for energy efficiency. When selling, you need to do something that will make your home attractive to buyers. Consider installing a new boiler or even think about insulating your loft or walls. Bear in mind that if you need to fit double-glazed windows and doors, as this comes with the added benefit of being able to improve the overall aesthetic look of your space.
