Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray review

  • Helps fine hair achieve styling lift-off, but also works wonders on any hair type - thick, thin, or otherwise. Who: Anyone.   When: Anytime; after Prep or Tonic Lotion and before heated tools (or any sort of setting). How:Spray on damp hair evenly by sections; work through and style.
I mentioned many times that my hair is fine and lacks volume. I always struggle to create glamourous hair styles and it really puts me off doing anything to my hair. I usually go for OSIS dust it powder to lift my roots, but it leaves my hair feeling dirty and horrible to the touch.
I read many positive and rave reviews of the BB Thickening Spray, so I was very excited to finally try it on my super fine hair. I can honestly say that it worked wonders!!! It does exactly "what it says on the tin"- in this case- bottle.
I used it on freshly washed, damp hair and started styling it the way I normally would to achieve more volume. I also curled my hair with a styling wand and the results were amazing. My hair had so much volume, I just couldn't believe it!!! You can see the effect on the photo below. I felt like my hair magically doubled or tripled in volume and it made me feel great and I got a massive boost of confidence. Although, I think that I actually used far too much product the first time, because my hair felt a bit weird to the touch and tangled easily. The second time, I used about 4-5 sprays around the root area and the effects were just as good, but my hair felt nice to the touch and I couldn't feel any product residue. I also tried using the thickening spray on my hair when I knew I wasn't going  to use heat and I just let my hair dry naturally after spraying some products onto the roots. I was worried that it won't work work this way, but surprisingly it added quite a lot of volume and texture to my hair and I was very impressed with the result.

Overall, I adore this hairspray and it really changed my life. It might sound ridiculous, but if you have fine hair, you will know what I am talking about. Fine hair doesn't look attractive.
The 250 ml bottle costs £21. I know, I know...  Priceeeeeey :) But believe me, it is worth every penny.
You can also get a smaller size -50ml for £7.00 here.
