Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks

After a week off, I am back with a beauty review. Yay! I've been using the Too Faced Melted Matte Lipsticks*(£19.00) for the past few weeks and I am really loving the shades I picked. The formula is lovely as well and I adore the packaging!

The Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks come in clear tubes with gold lids, so you can see the colour you're picking up, without having to check the sticker on the bottom. The doe-foot applicator makes it super easy to apply the product, but if you want to be ultra precise, you might need a lip brush too.

What about the formula? Well... it's pretty good! It is velvety and applies like a dream, giving an ultra matte finish and amazing pigmentation in just one layer! It's also infused with a no-sting lip plumper and filler, so it's not as drying as I expected it to be. I always try to use a lip balm before and exfoliate my lips, if I have any dry patches but even when my lips are dry, it looks great to be honest. You can see on the swatches below- my lips were pretty dry that day, but the finish is still lovely.

The lasting power is great too, with the lighter shades lasting for about 10 hours and the dark raspberry going strong even after 12 hours! Yep! Unless you eat something super oily, these won't budge! I would recommend removing with an oil cleanser or a bi-phased makeup remover to avoid too much rubbing.

I opted for the following shades:

Child Star - light nude
Queen B - soft mauve
Bend & Snap - deep raspberry

Left to right, we have: Child Star, Queen B, Bend & Snap.

I am wearing Queen B on the photo above and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect matte nude for me and I can't stop wearing it. Child star is much lighter, more like a matte equivalent of Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Kim K.W.

Bend & Snap is an absolute beaut too! Such a deep raspberry! It's a real showstopper. I get so many compliments when I wear it. Bright, fun and super pigmented!

Overall, these are lovely and I have been reaching for Queen B and Bend & Snap a lot! The formula is lightweight and doesn't cling onto dry patches too much and the lasting power is incredible!

  3. Oh my, they look lovely! Queen B is on my radar ever since I've noticed them. Too bad Too Faced is not so common in the rest of Europe.
