NEW! Benefit Porefessional License To Blot

There is a new addition to the Benefit Porefessional family - License To Blot*, an instant oil-blotting stick. I am a big fan of the Porefessional primer, so I couldn't wait to give this new interesting product a go. How does it work?

License To Blot contains tiny invisible blotting spheres that mattify shine for up to 6 hours after application.  The triangular tip targets shiny zones (sides of your nose, forehead and chin) and if I am using the product under foundation, I apply it straight from the bullet. If I want to eliminate oil during the day, when my makeup is already on, I use my finger and just dab some of the product on carefully to make sure I don't move my base around. It's very easy to use and it does the job.

The stick gets rid of excess oil, but it also minimises the appearance of pores and smooths the complexion. On my normal/combination skin, the mattifying effect last for 4-5 hours. For best results, Benefit recommend using the full Porefessional trio, starting with the Porefessional Primer allover the face, targeting oily spots with License To Blot and finishing with a sweep of Agent Zero Shine Powder. If you struggle with oily skin and large pores, you will love this combo!

I personally love to use License To Blot around my nose during the day, because that's the most oily area on my face. It's not an essential for everyone, but if you struggle with an oily t-zone, you might want to give it a go.

  1. This sounds like an interesting product! I do love Porefessional oh-so-much. Question: do you have to wipe off the stick after blotting excess oil? It seems it would get a little gross over time if you don't, but as I haven't tested it out myself I can't really know for sure.

    1. The oil from your face doesn't transfer onto the stick. The product just mattifies the oil with the special 'spheres'. With all products that come in a stick form, it is good to keep them clean and bacteria free. I use an antibacterial makeup spray on all my makeup after each use to keep things as clean as possible. 6. Really intrigued by this concept. I've never heard of a blotting stick before. Sounds great for on the go - much less likely to smash, unlike powder!

  9. This sounds amazing, as it would save me from carrying a powder (that can easily smash everywhere) and a separate brush everywhere with me!
