Pregnancy update: 25 weeks

Oh wow, only 15 weeks left till my due date. I am not sure, if I am ready, haha :) Having a cheeky little toddler who loves crawling into our bed in the middle of the night isn't ideal when you have a newborn and it's something I am really worried about. I am also worried that I won't have enough milk for the baby, like the last time. Scared that I will end up having a c-section, scared of the pain etc.

I was sooo deluded with my first baby. I didn't worry about anything at all. I was a bit anxious about labour obviously, but I didn't even consider having an emergency c-section, having problems with  breastfeeding etc. To be perfectly honest, it all really upset me and I just couldn't believe what I had to go through. I am planning to write separate posts about my labour with Zachary and my breastfeeding experience, but let's just say that it wasn't easy,

Enough rambling. Last week was pretty good and it was our 5th wedding anniversary on Monday. Instead of going out for a meal, we cooked it together and it was looooovely.

How far along? 25 weeks.

Total weight gain: 5lbs.

Maternity clothes? I got some maternity leggings and they are much more comfortable than standard leggings. They make my bump look lovely and smooth my back as well. Fab!

Cravings? Still the same - watermelon, as you might have seen on my instagram, haha :) I can't stop! I am also loving veggies with houmous. Yum! Not sure, if it counts as a craving, but I want to smell old bricks 24/7... I am pretty sure I could lick a brick and find it delicious, but that would be weird... I go to the garage and smell the walls constantly... HELP!

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Sleep? A bit better than last week, but still not great.

Best moments this week: Celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.

Miss anything? Sleeping on my tummy.

Movement? Lots of kicks.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Anything fried.

Gender? Baby girl :)

Labour signs? No.

Symptoms? I have been extremely tired all week and heartburn is killing me, but other than that I am fine. Back pain isn't as bad as it used to be, which is great.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off?  Off.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy, but getting anxious about labour :O

Looking forward to ... A fun day out with my boys :)

  1. Lovely post to read, although hopefully the heartburn will lift soon. I get it and I'm not even pregnant, so can't imagine how bad you must be getting it!

  2. This is a truly lovely post. I loved reading it and discovering how you are feeling. Watermelon is such a healthy thing to crave! Good luck in labour, try not to be too anxious, everything will be okay.
