Sunday Manicure: Essie 'Some Like It Haute' Nail Stickers

I haven't mastered nail wrap application yet, but practise makes perfect and I am not planning to give up. I found these Essie 'Some Like It Haute' Nail Stickers while organising my nail polish drawers and I though I should give them a go, before the glue dries up. I got them in the Latest In Beauty Summer Nails Box a couple of months ago and totally forgot about them.

They were much easier to apply than Nail Rock Wraps and didn't crease at all. My only mistake this time was stretching the sticker on my middle finger too much - it ended up shrinking back to the original size and you can see 2mm of my nail sticking out :) haha.

Anyway... The wraps lasted on my nails for 3 days, before I started peeling them off. They would probably last longer on someone who can stay away from their nails :) I adore the colour and the 3D design. The little red and gold dots are slightly raised and feel like tiny studs. I think I will use the remaining stickers for an accent nail, when I wear red nail polish during the festive season. There was 18 stickers in the set, so I have 8 left and I don't want to waste them.

You can buy these from Boots for £11.99 here

  1. I think the color combination is really great, but i'm not sure if you wouldn't have more of the mani, if you just used a good dotting tool and did the mani free-handed. But other than that - i like how it looks :)

    1. I actually tried to recreate it. It was a disaster, because the dots are so tiny and perfect :)

  2. These are amazing, too cute! I'm like you and I can't stay away from my nail, so they would last me only a few days too, which is a pity, but it's why I tend to do not buy nail stickers :(

    1. I am so bad when it comes to picking my nail polish etc. As soon as it starts chipping, I just scrape it off :) haha

  3. Those are awesome! So gorgeous for the holidays too :)

  4. I got these a while back in a GlossyBox, am waiting for xmas to try them out !! :)

  5. I've never used nail wraps because I always think they look too difficult to apply! This design is gorgeous though x

  6. I love the calligraphy ones, I really want to pick some up when I get paid!

  7. These are SO pretty! I actually don't think I've ever seen any essie nail strips!

  9. They look really good! I tried the Revlon ones the other day but they only lasted a day before I peeled them off, they were a bit meh.

  13. Have you seen the white ones with the pretty font across? I really like those :)
These ones are nice but nail wraps in general wouldn't do well with me I fear, I'm forever changing my nails or peeling off polish. I might buy some cheap ones to try just incase.

  14. I really like this design~ perfect for the festive season ahead of us :) I personally have no experience of nail wraps at all because i know that i would probably find it difficult and fiddly to apply to be honest. I have seen a few designs by nail rock that i quite like which i wanted to buy from ASOS, but looks like i ought to try out Essie's ones first to see how i get on as they sound easier to apply.

Thank you for the review! Have a lovely evening~ <3
