Koren Zander Brush Soaps Review: Pro Ultra and Lemon

Weekend is a perfect time to clean your makeup brushes! It is VERY important to have a brush cleansing routine, especially when it comes to foundation brushes. If you don't keep them clean, you might end up spreading loads of bacteria allover your face. What about  a dirty blending brush? It is my worst nightmare!  It can ruin the pretties eye makeup look!

I wash all my brushes once a week and two most used foundation brushes and a blending brush twice a week.  I normally use Dr Bronner's Organic Liquid Soap for this purpose, but I have been trying out a new method and I quite like it.

I was kindly sent two Koren Zander Brush Soaps recently, one lemon scented and one antibacterial. I like both scents, but the lemon one must be my favourite.

The Scented Pro Brush Soap contains a luxurious blend of moisturising and conditioning oils, to keep your brushes soft. If you spend a fortune on great brushes, you will definitely want to keep them in good condition for as long as you can. The soap comes in a plastic container - perfect for makeup artists or simply a great choice for travelling.
I used the soap on all my brushes and it does a great job at removing all makeup residue. It lathers up really well and smells gorgeous and zesty!

Available in Mango, Cantaloupe Melon, Apricot Freesia, Pomegranate. Tangerine, French Lavender, English Rose, Lemon, Jasmine, Pearberry, Gardenia and Unscented

This option is perfect for foundation brushes. They get really dirty easily and breed a high amount of bacteria, so using an antiseptic product on them is a must. The Pro Ultra Soap contains Tea Tree Oil and Rosemary, with antiseptic and antibacterial properties, as well as Argan and Brazilain Maracuja Oils to keep your brushes soft.

Both soaps contain SLS, to help remove grease and create a lot of foam. I am not a fan of this ingredient in skincare products, but I still use it for cleaning purposes (in washing up liquid etc...)

If you are not conceded about SLS, these will be perfect for your weekly brush laundry! The soaps can be used to clean natural and synthetic fibers and they do a great job at keeping my brushes clean and soft. The loofah side of the soap is great for a deep clean, making it an easy job.

Overall, I really like Koren Zander Brush Soaps and I would be happy to repurchase them , especially the Pro Ultra one.

You can buy the soaps from www.beautychamber.co.uk

Directions: Wet your dirty brush and simply lather on one side of the soap, sweep your brushes back and forth, then use the loofah side to deep clean and loosen makeup residue. Rinse, reshape the bristles, and dry the brushes flat.
