NOTD: Messy hearts and camera emergency :)

Hi everyone and happy Friday! Today I attempted a heart manicure and it turned out pretty messy :) haha. It still looks cute though, so I decided to feature it on the blog. I am determined to get better at nail art and I will keep practising, until I can paint perfect hearts on my nails without using a stencil. I used "A Crewed Interest" by Essie as a base and Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in shade Pomegranate for the hearts. I also added a shiny Seche Vite Top Coat.

Note: I am using an iPad to take my blog photos at the moment, because my DSLR decided to be a pain in the butt.
I am actually very impressed with the quality of the closeups and the way the pictures turned out.
If you don't have a DSLR, there is no need to buy it just to take some product photos.
You can take lovely pictures with a phone or a tablet,  if you put some time and effort into them. Buying a DSLR is not going to make a person who is not into photography a good photographer. I have seen many people wasting money on a £500 camera and their photos are still the same and didn't magically become amazing as soon as they bought a DSLR. It takes time to figure out the settings and different techniques. I am still learning something new about my camera every day and I am never entirely happy with my blog photos. Nobody's perfect :)

  3. Totally right about the photography thing Sandra. I see too many bloggers buying £500-£700 cameras for just product photos when its easily achieveable with an iPhone or as you have done, your tablet! Your photos look great and honestly, if you hadn't of said anything, I wouldn't of even noticed! The little heart design is super cute too :)

  4. Your nails are so cute. You're totally right about the camera thing. I begged my parents to get me a Canon for my 14th birthday which was last Saturday. I was so happy but to be honest the quality of my pictures have not improved. x
