A Groupon Bargain

I like bargains, so when I was offered a Groupon voucher I couldn't say no :)
I was already a registered member to be honest :) I got Graze boxes from www.groupon.co.uk at a very good price a couple of months ago. They always have great deals, but you need to watch if the price of the item includes p&p. The Oasis watch I got was £9, but I had to pay £4 for delivery on the Oasis website once I got my e-voucher. All you need to do is buy the deal from www.groupon.co.uk/vouchers/ and wait for an email with a code you can use on the retailers website.
Some of the deals include p&p and you don't need to use a voucher code for them. You buy the item straight from the Groupon website and it gets delivered to your door. I got my ice-cream maker this way and I paid £24.99 for it with free delivery.
You can also buy local deals, like meals in restaurants, getaways and experiences from Groupon.
There is something for everyone but it took me over 2 weeks to actually decide on a deal. I was waiting for a beauty deal, after seeing an Urban Decay palette on the website, but I went for a watch and ice cream maker. The goods were delivered after a couple of days and my overall Groupon experience was a positive one again and I have no complaints :)

Do you shop via Groupon? What other websites would you recommend?

  1. When I see the name Groupon I get very stressed out. I was once a really avid and dedicated Groupon member and loved their offers, I purchased an offer of two pillowcases and paid £30 for them. That was over a year ago and they still have not arrived and I've still not seen a refund. Not only did Groupon basically say it 'wasnt their problem' and I had to take it up with the brand (who had no contact details) they never offered a refund despite having proof that my product never was shipped. I too was offered a voucher and when I said I'd be happy to give them another go but had had a bad experience in the past I was completely ignored and never contacted again.
Unfortunately I don't trust Groupon, although I'm glad their deals work out for lots of people because they are good.

  2. I'm currently trying to get a Groupon refund as they sold me a Food Hygeine training course which I did to start my own cake business. But when I showed my 'certificate' to my councils environmental health officer she told me it was a worthless piece of paper and not real training nor verified as Groupon promised! I paid £20 but also wasted hours on the bloody training!!

    1. Oh wow, another unhappy customer. I did not expect that in the comments at all.
I was a bit unsure when I first started using Groupon, but so far I only had very positive experiences. x

  4. Lovely watch! I must say I've had excellent customer service from Groupon with no quibble refunds a couple of times - sorry to hear that others haven't but just wanted to balance things out! :)

  6. Wow, I'm surprised to hear that people have such bad luck with Groupon!! I honestly haven't used it yet (though I am on their mailing list) but it makes me a little nervous to buy anything :(
Thankfully you had a good experience though and the watch is gorgeous :)

  9. Thats lovely isn't it! I've been on their mailing list for ages but been a little hesitant to buy anything, but some of my friends recently went to Dublin via Groupon and had a fab experience, and I've recently purchased teeth whitening which I'm about to make an appointment for. I think it must depend more on the companies they deal with rather than Groupon themselves! x

  10. What a beautiful watch, and such a bargain too. I used to love Groupon but unsubscribed because their numerous daily emails were getting too much. Might be time to give it another go though! x
