What I got for Christmas

Hi everyone. I like "What I got for Christmas" posts, so I decided to write one as well :)
Warning - Don't expect to see a Michael Kors watch, an Ipad mini or a Louis Vuitton bag.

I used to go crazy with presents, but this year me and my husband decided to be more responsible and got each other a couple of reasonably priced gifts.

I asked my husband for an Emma Hardie skincare set and got the Amazing Face Collection from QVC.
The set was an absolute bargain! It was under £50 with free delivery and it is worth over £120.
I will be reviewing the products on the blog once I can properly try them. I also got two lovely jumpers, chocolates and some other bits and bobs.

We obviously got a couple of great toys for Zac and he absolutely loved them :) The best part of Christmas is seeing his little face when he opens the presents. It melts my heart!

I think that we will keep the tradition of getting each other less gifts for Christmas, because if we ever want to own a house, we have to be very careful with money and act like adults. Christmas is all about family time and good food!

  1. Merry Christmas Sandra!

I know what you mean about being sensible, my boyfriend and I set a budget this year, since the last 2 years we went nuts spoiling each other. We're trying to save up to move back to Glasgow this year as well, so it's refreshing to know that I'm not the only one :)

Hope you and all your family had a great day!

  2. I think its great present, hope you will like it in use. <3 happy Holidays to you and your husband.

  3. Great gift. Me and my fella didn't buy for each other this year cos all our money is shared and we aren't flush at all. Meant we saved £100-£150.
    Merry Christmas.

  4. lovely gift :D Merry Christmas

  5. Looks like a lovely gift. We always keep to a budget too, and it's quite fun thinking of something to buy when you know there's a limit on it :) x

  6. Awww it's so nice to hear you had a lovely christmas!

    Adele xx

  7. sounds like you had a really lovely christmas! I know what you mean, everyone seems to get michael kors watches and all sorts of expesive things nowadays! merry christmas :)

  8. Such a lovely gift. I have just ordered the Emma Hardie cleansing balm. Can't wait to try it. x

  9. Lovely, Emma Hardie products sound so fab :)

  10. I agree with your philsophy on Christmas. My boyfriend and I no longer exchange gifts because we'd rather that money go towards our future. I wish my parents agreed though because I feel like the amount of gifts I receive is way too much.

  11. I think getting useful things is the best thing someone could ask for (especially in these "adult" years) so I appreciate what you and your husband did this year for presents!! And very true, Christmas is more about being with those you love and eating lots and lots of good food :)

  12. Great gifts! I totally get when you say you were trying to be sensible, I tried that too! I used to go crazy and just try to get as many things as possible, but this year I only got things I REALLY wanted, and knew I would use! x

  13. Really want to try the balm. Hubby and I are buying each other windows for the house! Glamourous!

  14. Beautiful gift! Sounds like a lovely Christmas:)
    Happy Holidays!

  15. That is such a good idea. My boyfriend and I decided to stick to one main more "expensive" gift and a few little odds and ends, to keep things reasonable. That looks like a great set, can't wait to hear more about it.
