VELVET MANICURE VOL 2 in purple with a green accent nail

I already added a post featuring a velvet manicure, but recently it became a new trend (not so new really) so I though I will add a new one using different colours. If you would like to see the original post click here. Ciate is bringing out a velvet mani set so you will probably see more of it in the blogosphere soon. I bought my crushed velvet on ebid.co.uk. The step by step guide and links to the little pots of velvet I used are in my previous post here.

  9. Wow that's such a cool look, very unusual I've never heard or seen of Velvet nails anywhere before. Does any of it fall off as there doesn't seem to be a top coat? :s
I really want to try this now

    1. It stays on all day and looks perfect. I removed it the same day, but I am sure it would last about 3 days. There is no top coat :)

  10. Thanks for sharing as I have never seen this before. I don't think it is a trend I will follow. It looks like I would leave bits of fluff stuck to everything I touch if I had it on my nails.

Love the quality of your photos! :0) Dawn

    1. It doesn't leave any fluff behind if done properly, but it isn't something I would wear everyday. I always do manicures purely for blogging purposes :)and remove them the same day.
It actually stays on all day looking perfect and I bet it would last for a couple of days.

  21. It looks so quirky it's good. They also look like they'd feel extremely weird, almost difficult.
None the less, I love the look of them especially the colours.
