NOTD: Messy hearts and camera emergency :)

Hi everyone and happy Friday! Today I attempted a heart manicure and it turned out pretty messy :) haha. It still looks cute though, so I decided to feature it on the blog. I am determined to get better at nail art and I will keep practising, until I can paint perfect hearts on my nails without using a stencil. I used "A Crewed Interest" by Essie as a base and Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in shade Pomegranate for the hearts. I also added a shiny Seche Vite Top Coat.

Note: I am using an iPad to take my blog photos at the moment, because my DSLR decided to be a pain in the butt.
I am actually very impressed with the quality of the closeups and the way the pictures turned out.
If you don't have a DSLR, there is no need to buy it just to take some product photos.

Budget buy: MUA lipstick in shade 2

I found this post in my drafts and I just couldn't leave it unpublished :) To be honest, I stopped reaching for cheap lipsticks, because I am always scared that the ingredients used in them are really bad.
I do have a big selection of £1 MUA lippies though and some of them are really gorgeous.

Gunjeoir Palmarosa Exfoliation Balm and Neroli Face Elixir

Hi everyone. Today I would like to introduce you to a lovely British brand called Gunjeoir.
I adore the unusual brand name and the story behind it. The name is pronounced gun-je-waa and it describes a sensation of pure bliss. Here is what the founder of the brand Sophia, says about the name:

"My brothers and I dreamt up the word ‘gunjeoir’ when we were children.  We used it to describe the delightful feeling of getting into a warm bath: ‘Ahh Gunjeoir!’  It was a word that stuck, and in our family we talk about having a ‘gunjeoir bath’.  When thinking about what to call my skincare brand, Gunjeoir seemed to be the obvious choice for a range that was meant to evoke an indescribable feeling of bliss."

My new (old) routine with Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare

Hi everyone. I recently shared my skincare routine on the blog, but I used up some of the products and I also felt like I needed a change. I have been using various  Liz Earle products for nearly a year and I always reach for them, when I don't feel like experimenting with new cleansers etc...

So, it is back to basics for me. I reviewed most of the products in this post already, but I will quickly share my thoughts again and explain why I like this simple routine.
