October Favourites

It's my favourite time of the month again :) I just love sharing my most loved products with you. It is mostly makeup this time, but also a couple of other bits & bobs.

I didn't expect much from the new Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation*(£8.99), but I am blown away. It is incredible and very affordable. It gives medium coverage, but you can easily build it up and it looks very natural on the skin. I tend to react to heavily scented foundations, so it's perfect for me, as it contains no perfume, and is non-comedogenic.

I recently repurchased the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light (after selling my old one, when I needed cash) and I am glad to have it back in my life. I have my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, but I hit pan on two of the shades. Luminous Light is perfect for setting makeup and adding a gorgeous glow. To apply the powder, I have been using a cheap little brush I got on ebay. It looks similar to the NARS Kabuki Yachiyo Brush (£43.00), but it is just a low budget dupe. You can buy it here for  £5.40. It is soooo soft!

I have also been loving the NARS Multiple in South Beach*. It is stunning and perfect for lazy days when I need a bronzer and highlight in one. I reviewed it here.

On my eyes, I have been using my MAC quad with four stunning shades: Nylon (perfect inner corner highlight), Coppering (stunning allover the lid), Shadowy Lady (crease and lower lashline) and Goldmine (perfect for a golden smokey eye).

Another MAC product I got recently and used a lot in October is MAC Subculture Lip Pencil. I am not overly impressed with the formula, as it is just as dry as the PRO Staunchly Stylish Pencil, but I love the colour and I reach for it almost every day. It's a peachy nude shade.

Two other nude options I am obsessed with are the Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit* and Sigma Lip Base in Indulgent. To see how they look like on the lips, click on the links. They are both gorgeous!

The last makeup item I decided to include is the Urban Decay Ink For Eyes* (£15.00). It's soooo good! It's blacker than black and lasts all day. It is also super easy to use.

My favourite October fragrance must be Kim Kardashian Pure Honey*. I have the 30ml bottle, but you can get 100ml under £20.00 online. The scent is exactly what I expected . It's a mixture of honeycomb, beeswax essence, rose, freesia, and mandarin flower with a creamy vanilla and musk finish. If you were disappointed with Marc Jacobs Honey and want something that actually smells like honey, you will love it. The bottle is gorgeous too, with a little gold bee!

In the skincare department, I have been loving the DHC Pore Cleansing Oil*(£25.00). It is just as good as the original (my all time fave) and takes every single bit of makeup off easily, leaving my skin clean, but nourished. DHC do the best makeup removers on the market.

I declared my love for Antonia Burrell Pure Therapy Oil many times, so I expected the Luminous Light Polishing Powder* (£45.00) to be amazing too. I love powder exfoliators, because they are very gentle and this one is incredible. It transforms into a silky foam when you mix it with water and leaves my skin smooth and refreshed. The powder contains Tea Tree Leaf Extract, Zinc PCA and Colloidal Oatmeal - ideal for acne prone and irritated skin. I use it a couple of times a week after cleansing.

There are two body products I have been enjoying. The first one is Glamour Food Blueberry & Dark Chocolate Bath & Shower Gel* (£14.95). It smells divine and I actually use it as a hand wash, because I am addicted to the scent. The formula is 100% natural and doesn't irritate my skin. Available from www.biggreensmile.com.

I am currently trying out a laser hair removal treatment and it is making the skin on my legs feel a little bit dry, so I have been reaching for rich body butters. My favourite one at the moment is the Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Super Rich Body Butter* (£15.75). The formula is very nourishing and perfect for the colder months. It also smells gorgeous!
