Packing for a holiday is rarely quick and easy and it can be difficult to remember absolutely everything that you need and to pack. We aways forget something, right? Often finding yourself surrounded with a pile of clothes that just don't fit in your suitcase. Not to mention all the toiletries and other essentials that you need to take, trying to stick to weight limits and all the liquid restrictions. Let's have a look at some of the ways you can make packing for a holiday easier below:

Get The Right Luggage

Before you even start packing you need to think about the luggage options that you have. Are you going away for a full week or just a weekend? Will you need one suitcase or two? What are the luggage sizes allowed by the airline? Ideally it's good to have main luggage for your clothes, shoes and bigger items, and hand luggage for your in flight essentials, like a tablet/laptop, your headphones, any snacks, and maybe some small toiletries etc. If you're carrying things like large shampoo bottles, make sure these go in your main case and not your hand luggage if you are traveling by plane. Always check current regulations to avoid having to repack at the airport.

Make A List

You are going to be able to pack much easier and quicker if you make a list rather than just try to throw things in all at once last minute. Make a quick list of everything that you need including any activities you're planning , or special occasions. Will it all be daytime outfits? Will you need evening options or swimwear etc? Include everything on your list, from underwear to the shoes that you are going to be wearing. This way you can avoid forgetting all the essentials, and prevent overpacking and making your case too heavy. List all your toiletries and things like chargers, medication, books etc.

Check The Weather

One mistake that people make before they go away is not checking the weather. If you want to make packing easier, think about the types of clothing you should be taking with you, based on your destination and the conditions. This means that you might need to wait till a few days before you travel to finalize your packing. You can make a start a couple of weeks before but it's best to make sure that you do your final checks just before you go. This is because the weather can change quite quickly. You don't want to be packing something for warmer weather if it's going to be cold and rainy the whole time that you are away. It's good to have a few options for unpredictable climates.

These three tips should help you to make sure that your packing is a little bit easier. Are you going anywhere this summer?
