iPad Mini and my favourite photo apps

As much as I love my iPad 4, I was super excited to finally get an iPad Mini. I think, that the big one is slightly too heavy and I don't really like using it in bed or on the go. It is simply too bulky. The mini one is much lighter and I am totally in love with it. The only bad thing about it is the lack of Retina Display, but it isn't a big issue. The display quality is amazing and the colours are very vibrant. I was  slightly worried that the screen will be too small for reading, but... the 7.9 inch display is perfect. I can read books without 'squinting my eyes' and the keyboard is big enough for my clumsy fingers :) I have been using my new iPad from Argos non stop, so I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite photo apps with you.

INSTAGRAM

I use Instagram all day, every day :) haha. I like to see what people are up to, what they eat, what they buy etc... I get a lot of inspiration from Instagram and I might be slightly addicted to it :)

A BEAUTIFUL MESS

This app is one of my favourites. If you want your pictures to look pretty, you won't regret spending 69p on it. The features include: filters, borders, text, doodles, phrases and backgrounds. You can see some examples below. You get a big choice of fonts and doodles within the price, but... you can also buy extra ones, if you love the app as much as I do. I very often use the filters to make my photos brighter or adjust contrast and add text and doodles to photos of my meals :) Once you are done with editing your photo, you can open it in other apps, or share it on instagram. Simple! Another thing I love about this app is the choice of different backgrounds it offers, if you want to write a cute message, make a list etc. On top of that, it was created by two lovely bloggers :) You can read more about it here.

PICFX

The last photo app I like to use is Picfx. I mostly use it to add little hearts to my photos, or different light effects. It is free, but you can buy extra features as well.

Surprisingly, I still use my iPad 4, but I love having the iPad mini to take with me, when I am travelling, to read a book in bed etc.  It has a 5MP iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording and a 1.2MP front (face time) camera. Obviously, the quality of the photos won't be incredible, but it is perfect for quick Instagram snaps and face timing your friends and family :) Depending on usage, the battery life on the iPad mini can last for up to 10h. In my case, it usually lasts for 8 hours- I browse the net, use the camera, skype and watch videos on youtube.

Overall, I am very pleased with the iPad mini and I would definitely recommend adding one to your Christmas Wishlist. It would make an amazing gift!
