Fragrance Gift Guide 2018 (for him & her)

If you're not done with your Christmas shopping yet and you have no idea what to get for the 'hard to buy for person' in the family, you can always get them a nice fragrance. Whether it's their all time favourite scent or something new with similar notes, you still have enough time to order online or get it last minute in store! Here are some of my picks for Christmas 2018 for men and women.

Let's start with this beauty! I adore Giorgio Armani Si and I have a few bottles of it in my stash, but the Si Nacre Edition* is so much more special! It is the perfect Christmas gift, with the stunning golden shimmer that leaves a pearlescent gleam on the skin. Stunning!

Si EDP combines notes of cassis nectar, modern chypre and light musky wood and it is my favourite evening scent. It's very intense, ultra feminine and has been my go to for years, as the blackcurrant notes and sweetness evoke a lot of beautiful memories for me.

Next, we have a lovely Michael Kors Wonderlust Gift Set*(£61.20) consisting of three items: a 50ml Wonderlust Eau de Parfum Spray, a 10ml Rollerball of the EDP and a Rose Gold Card Wallet. Wonderlust is described as an exotic, oriental floral fragrance, marketed for the adventurous woman who longs to travel. I love the design of the bottle and the rollerball and wallet are fantastic additions to a gift set, giving it a very luxury feel.

Womderlust features notes of bergamot and mandarin, creamy almond milk, jasmine and a base of benzoin and sandalwood. It's a beautiful scent and I think it's perfect for all seasons.

The Elie Saab Girl of Now Shine*(50ml, £58.00) comes in the most beautiful bottle, making it feel super luxurious. The fragrance inside is just as nice as the packaging, with notes of roasted pistachio, pineapple, ylang ylang, jasmine, bitter almond, iris, vanilla & patchouli. It's a new solar variation of  the original Girl Of Now (a gourmand floral) with a fruity twist.

The bottle is adorned with a gold flower and it is currently displayed on my shelves, as I just can't stop looking at it and having a little spray whenever I want to feel like it.

I had to give the Missguided fragrances a shout out, because they are possibly my most worn scents of the year. I am so impressed with all of these to be honest. My favourite out of the four is the original Babe Power*, followed by Babe Dreams*, Boss Babe* and Babe Oud*. Great value for money and the packaging is really cool.

A very recent addition to my fragrance wardrobe is the DKNY Stories EDP*. With notes of pink pepper, pink guava mousse, black cardamom, jasmine sambac, white tea, black iris, vanilla bean, white sandalwood & grey amber, it is very feminine and vibrant. I love the elegant packaging, a completely different feel than the DKNY Be Delicious scents (which I used to be obsessed with, I have them all!). DKNY Stories is described as an oriental woody floral, that captures the bold and magnetic spirit of today’s modern woman. I have been using it everyday for the past two weeks and it's simply beautiful!

I also wanted to mention a few more scents I got to try back in November. Starting from the left, we have the Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon EDP. The brand recently launched in the UK, which is great news! For Jimmy Choo fans, there's Jimmy Choo Fever in a deep plum bottle. And if you fancy something more luxurious, the Cartier Carat EDP is incredible! I actually fell in love with it, as the violet note stole my heart! It comes as a body & hair mist as well!

And for the men in your life, there's a few great options: Coach Platinum (in a flask style bottle), Issey Miyake L'Eau Super Majeure d'Issey (my personal favourite) and Mont Blanc Legend Night EDP (very affordable).

Another suggestion for men (possibly dads and grandfathers)- a real classic - the Aramis EDT*. With notes of Citrus, Bergamot oil, Sage, Cardamom, Clove, Sandalwood, Leather and Oak Moss, this scent is very masculine and traditional. With over 50 years of history behind it, it holds a special place in the hearts of many people. It's quite intense and punchy, but very suave at the same time.

Are you buying any fragrance this Christmas? What's you personal favourite?
