Gucci Guilty Intense EDP

I've been meaning to try this fragrance since it launched in 2011, but for some reason this is my first bottle of Gucci Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum. If I knew how beautiful it was, I would have added it to my collection ages ago. Why is it so beautiful? Well... it smells like fresh lilacs - one of my favourite flowers. It isn't a simple floral fragrance though. It is much more sophisticated and sexy. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous too and looks and feels very luxurious.

Guilty Intense features notes of mandarin, pink pepper, lilac, violet, heliotrope, patchouli and amber. I am not an expert in the fragrance department, but the first thing I can definitely smell is pure lilacs, followed by mandarin. Once the scent settles on my skin, I start to notice warmer, oriental notes of patchouli and possibly amber. The good news - the lilac scent stays on the skin all day, which makes me incredibly happy.

I would say that Gucci Guilty Intense is more of an evening scent, but it works well during the day as well. If it is too strong for you, apparently the original is more subtle, but the notes are identical. I also have to point out, that this EDP reminds me of Gucci Envy, which was my first ever designer fragrance. I was devastated when I found out that it was discontinued, but I think that Guilty Intense  is even more 'me' than Gucci Envy.  It is seriously intoxicating, without giving me or anyone around me a headache :)
