Urban Decay Naked Lip Glosses

These have been on my radar for a while, but I wasn't too sure what shade I should get. Many bloggers mentioned that all the colours look very similar on the lips (which could be the case if you compare all of the nude ones, or have super pigmented, dark lips), but I was pleasantly surprised with the selection I was kindly sent to try out. They all have different hues, look stunning on the lips and feel really luxurious.

First of all - I adore the packaging. It is elegant and feels very expensive. Doe foot applicator makes the application super easy and provides an even finish. The only downside of the product is the lack of flavour, but the scent is ok, with a subtle hint of mint. I like my lip products (especially glosses and lip balms) to smell and taste sweet :)

Urban Decay Naked glosses are described as a gloss and lip balm combo, which nourishes and hydrates the lips whilst adding a gorgeous shine and a wash of colour. The formula is non sticky and feels very comfortable on the lips, leaving them soft and supple. The ingredients include: Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, Vitamin E, Avocado Oil and Shea Butter to keep your pout in tiptop condition.

The overall feel and finish  of Urban Decay Naked Glosses reminds me of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors, but with a little bit more colour and a more glossy finish. I am seriously impressed and I have been using them as my everyday lip colours. The lasting power is between 2-3 hours, which is very good for this kind of lip product.

My favourite shades are Beso and Lovechild, but I love all of them to be honest. You can see the swatches on the photos below.

Streak - a coral peach
Lovechild - a medium pink
Beso - a deep pink-mauve
Walk of Shame - a pale nude pink with a subtle micro shimmer

Left to Right: Walk of Shame, Beso, Lovechild, Streak

Overall, I adore the formula of Urban Decay Naked glosses and all the shades I received are simply stunning! I just wish they had a nice scent and flavour. It would make them absolutely perfect!

If you are looking for a nourishing gloss, with a high shine finish and a subtle wash of colour, these will be perfect for you. There is 9 shades to choose from, including nudes, pinks, browns and a coral.

  9. The packaging is so nice and I agree 2-3 lasting power is really good for a lipgloss! When I'm out of the county I'm definitely going to have a look for these xxx

  14. I love these so much but I do have to agree that they are all pretty much the same on my super pigmented lips! I would have to take concealer to my lips if I wanted any color to show up

  17. I think these look really nice but I do wonder if it is the packaging that's luring me in. £14 is quite expensive for a lip gloss, especially considering I normally do prefer a lipstick over a gloss.

  18. I'm loving the look of Lovechild! And I was also under the impression that they all looked the same on the lips but each of these colors clearly has a different pigmentation so I do think that's a bit of a misconception. Thanks for this thorough review!
