L'Occitane Rose EDT and Fragrance Waters

I don't own a huge selection of L'Occitane fragrances or products, but everything I have tried from the brand in the past has been incredible and I repurchased a few favourites over the years, like the Almond Shower Oil and Shea Butter Hand Cream. I also feel very sentimental about their Pivoine Delicate EDT, so it's safe to say that I was really excited to try the new Rose EDP* and Burst Of Vitality Fragrance Water* which launched in February nationwide. I think they're a perfect option for Spring/Summer and with a choice of three fragranced waters to compliment the Rose scent, there is something for everyone.

Let's start with the star of the show - Rose EDT*(50ml, £49.00). It is not your typical rose scent, so you might want to give it a go, even if you don't normally like rose fragrances. This beautiful EDT is a more modern take on the classic, with a green and fruity twist. I promise, it's not old fashioned or boring! The top notes feature lychee, pink pepper and raspberry, followed by heart notes of rose and violet and base notes of patchouli and white musk. It's a light and fresh scent and it's not overpowering, so it won't give you a headache. I started to get headaches lately from strong perfumes, but I am safe with this one and I have been using it every day for the past few weeks. It's also available as a shower gel and body lotion.

To compliment the Rose EDT perfectly and let you customise the scent depending on your mood, L'Occitane launched three fragranced waters: Burst of Relaxation, Burst Of Cheerfulness and Burst Of Vitality. I was kindly sent the Burst Of Vitality Rose Fragranced Water*(50ml, £32.00)  and it is perfect to give you a boost of energy in the morning with it's fresh and zesty top notes of bergamot and orange, heart notes of jasmine and base notes of cedar and musk. It smells absolutely beautiful and I love layering it with the Rose EDT. I am not a morning person, so every little helps when it comes to energising me and I strongly believe in the power of fragrance and aromatherapy for boosting my mood.

Overall I am really impressed with the latest fragrance offering from L'Occitane and I love their take on the classic Rose and the idea of customising and layering with fragranced waters.

The full collection is available in stores nationwide and from www.loccitane.co.uk.

Have you tried any L'Occitane fragrances?
