Natural beauty: relief for tired eyes-cucumber.

I realise that everybody knows about this beauty tip, but have you gave it a go yet? If you suffer from dark circles and puffiness around the eye area, there is one easy thing you can do to improve the appearance of your dark circles. Cut two slices of cucumber, put them on closed eyes and relax for 5 minutes. If you do it every day you will see great results. It is not a myth!

  1. I might have to give it a go... I really thought it was a myth. What I wonder is: is it because of the cucumber, or because you take 5 min to relax?

  3. Cucumber is great! So many possibilities! Its juices soothe, moisturise and make the pores appear smaller.

You can also grate the cucumber and as you can see the juices coming out, dampen a piece of cloth or paper towel in it and put it on your face. Keep it on for a few minutes. It's ridiculously soothing and moisturising. You don't have to rinse your face afterwards because cucumber juice is not sticky at all. :)

You can just smear a halved cucumber onto your face as a natural toner, too.

Oh, and try and use organic cucumbers if possible.

PS. I like using cucumber eye-pads as well. I put halved slices under my eyes when I'm watching TV or reading a book. This way I don't have to think the slices will fall if I open or move my eyes. There is always this problem with me that as soon as I put a mask on and should lie down and relax, suddenly, there are tons of things I need to do! :D

  8. Unfortunately I think it will take more than a few slices of cucumber to help with my eyes, they are really starting to show signs of ageing :( Cold teabags also work really well too, mint ones are nice and refreshing, and chamomile ones are soothing :) x

  15. I love using cucumber slices on my eyes, especially straight from the fridge. I've picked up an eye infection from holiday so could really do with some right now but the fridge is bare :(
