Bdellium Tools 15 piece Brush Set review

Hi everyone.
I have a slight obsession with make-up brushes and this Bdellium Tools set is the most recent addition to my collection. I am sure you've seen the green Bdellium brushes in the blogosphere already, but just so you know, you can also get them in yellow and black.
I absolutely adore this set and I think that Bdellium brushes are the most beautiful ones in my collection!

£79.95 from www.beautychamber.co.uk

"Professional Eco Friendly Complete 15 Piece Makeup Brush Set from the Bdellium Tools Green Bambu Series. 100% Cruelty Free, Vegan Friendly, Hypoallergenic Synthetic Bristles and Sustainable Bamboo Handles throughout."

First of all, I love the design. It is perfect and beautiful! The brushes are made of bamboo and the bristles are hypoallergenic and cruelty free! I am very impressed with the quality of the brushes. They are very well made and look expensive. The bristles are very soft and  feel great on my face, especially the powder and blusher brushes. Because the fibres are synthetic  there is no shedding, so you won't find annoying fibres on your face when you are doing your makeup:)
They are also easy to clean and dry in 4-5 hours.
The set contains every single brush you will ever need to do makeup, although I would add a buffing brush, because I am addicted to my Real Techniques one :)  My favourite brushes from the set are the 955B Duet Fiber Finishing Brush (perfect for applying and blending foundation), the 964B Blusher Brush (for blusher and bronzer) and the 762B Small Angle Brush (for filling in and shaping my eyebrows).
I have been using the brush set every single day since I got it and I love it! It comes with a roll up pouch which makes it perfect for travelling. If you are looking for good quality set, or if you want to get good single brushes, I can highly recommend Bdellium Tools. You can get Bdellium brushes from Beauty Chamber. They offer a wide selection of make-up, nail care and other beauty products with worldwide delivery.

NOTD: Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel Cafe Pink 060

Hi everyone and happy Friday! :)
I haven't done a NOTD post in ages, but I will be doing a couple of them next week.
I received some Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamels* and also some new shades from the A/W Shanghai collection by Gucci Westman. I will be adding two separate posts with swatches, but today I am sharing the colour I have been wearing for the past couple of days.
The shade I am loving is 060 Cafe Pink*- a beautiful, creamy baby pink.
I will be talking about the formula and my thoughts on the Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel collection in the post I planned for next week :)

Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask review

I found my Holy grail hair mask already- the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, but I was very excited about trying the Morrocanoil Restorative Hair Mask and I had high hopes for it.
Read on to see if it met my expectations.

Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask* 250ml from hairtrade.com £30.45

"Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask from the Moroocanoil series is a treatment that offers a therapeutic remedy that penetrates deep into the hair. For hundreds of years Argan oil has been used by women in Morocco to treat hair and nails in order to counteract the effects of the hot climate. The Argan tree, found only in the South West of Morocco called Argana; blossoms in the desert-like conditions and produces fruits much like olives yet larger and rounder. Inside the fruit grows a large nut that houses up to three almond-shape kernels which are the source of this miraculous oil."

* Helps reconstruct and rebuild
* Reverses damage done by chemicals
* Restores hair from environmental elements like sun and wind
* Penetrates deep into the hair
* Unique formula brings out hairs inner health
* Leaves hair shiny and moisturized

Just like I said, I was expecting this mask to be absolutely amazing after trying the Macadamia one which is nearly 50% cheaper. I like it, I am not in love with it and it isn't something I would repurchase.

It is a very thick mask and it smells lovely. I used a generous amount of it on my dry ends and a small amount on the rest of my hair, but as soon as I applied it I knew that it won't be as good as Macadamia.
I let it work for 10 minutes, rinsed my hair, let it dry naturally and expected great results.
My hair felt quite soft and looked nice, but there wasn't  a big difference.
I used it about 5 times in the past two weeks and I can't see or feel a massive improvement in the condition of my hair.  I need to add that my hair is in quite good condition at the moment, because I very rarely  use heat and don't dye my hair anymore. The only thing I noticed was an improvement in the condition of my dry ends (bleached over 2 years ago). They look healthier and have more life.
I am guessing that the mask restores the hair from the inside and gives it strength and  I am benefiting from it somehow, but I don't think it is worth over £30.00.

It is probably better suited for those with very damaged/bleached hair and hair exposed to heat very often. It is a nice product, but I will stick to my Holy Grail Macadamia Deep Reapair Masque (review here)

You can buy this mask from hairtrade.com - one of the UK's leading online retailers of hair extensions hair care and beauty products.

NEW FOUND LOVE: Lily Lolo Lipstick in Intense Crush

Hi everyone!
After raving about Vegas Volt by MAC, I was sure that I found my favourite lipstick.
Last week I received some lovely products from Lily Lolo and I fell in love with the lipstick I got in a shade called Intense Crush. Oh my.... It is absolutely amazing!
I love it more than Vegas Volt and I can't stop using it! Read on for my rave review :)

LILY LOLO LIPSTICK: Intense Crush* £7.99 link

"Natural creamy lipsticks for beautiful and nourished lips. Each shade gives a stunning natural glow while protecting your lips with Vitamin E and rosemary extract."

I have been looking for a perfect peachy lipstick for months (years maybe) and I just couldn't find something I actually love! After trying Barry M in shade Peach a couple of weeks ago (review here) I thought that I will never find "the one" :)
As soon as I applied the Lily Lolo Lipstick in Intense Crush I knew that it will be my favourite colour ever!
When you get something online, you never know what to expect, but I am very happy with my choice!
Intense Crush is a shade described as a natural, coral peach and that's exactly how I would describe it too.
The consistency is very creamy and the formula is hydrating and full of goodness, enriched with Vitamin E and rosemary extract.
It applies beautifully and feels great on the lips. It is comfortable to wear and stays put for 4 hours.
I absolutely love it and I can't atop raving about it!
If you've been looking for a perfect peachy shade- this is it!
AMAZING!

Dolce & Gabbana Tortoise sunglasses review and a giveaway

DOLCE & GABBANA TORTOISE SUNGLASSES* c/o sunglassesshop.co.uk  £90.72

"This simple but seductive frame by D&G is simply gorgeous. Its sophisticated elegance is well suited to the female face and its oversized lenses are right on trend. Rounded edges soften the frame, making it really easy to wear, and its beautiful colour selection flatters all skin tones."

I always wanted a pair of D&G tortoise sunglasses, but never ordered them for some reason.
I bought cheap sunglasses with  tortoise effect frames before and I loved them, so I knew that I will fall in love with D&G ones. I picked square frames, because they are my favourite shape.
I don't think I look good in sunglasses in general, but it won't stop me from wearing them :)

There is one thing I always worry about when I buy designer sunglasses- somebody can sell you a fake, especially on ebay. I bought a couple of things from ebay  thinking that they are genuine, but unfortunately they were fake. Now, I only buy sunglasses from trusted retailers, to make sure that they have filters and won't damage my eyes. The website I got my sunglasses from is called sunglassesshop.com. They are an authorised dealer for every brand they sell, so you will always get genuine, top quality products.
The delivery was super fast and my package arrived the next day.

GOOD NEWS!
Lovely people at sunglassesshop.com  are sponsoring a pair of  Polaroid Tortoise sunglasses worth £37.00 for one of my lucky readers! The giveaway is open internationally!
All you need to do is follow the steps in the rafflecopter widget at the end of my post.
GOOD LUCK!

Review: Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette: 03 Rosewood

Today I am reviewing one of the most beautiful eye shadow palettes I have ever seen. It is the Clarins Eye Quartet: 03 Rosewood. I always considered Clarins a luxury brand for very elegant and classy ladies, but I think that their makeup is perfect for any age group. The packaging screams luxury and it is just beautiful!  I took many photos for this post to show you how beautiful the design is. I absolutely love it!

Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette: 03 Rosewood  (5.8g £30.00 link)

"A collection of wet and dry formula eye shadow quartets, each containing four toning shades of satin and iridescent long lasting, super silky and blendable eye colour. Presented in Clarins' signature pale gold compact with mirror and two quality foam tipped applicators; one for defining the eye and one for shading and blending."

I love neutral shades, so all colours in the Rosewood palette are perfect for me. The quartet consists of a highlighter, two satin shades and a dark brown liner colour. All of them have a silky finish and mineral texture and can be used wet or dry. I used them dry without a primer and I love the final effect. The shades are sheer, but if you like more intense colours they are buildable. The highlighter is perfect to use under  brow bones and in the inner corners, medium browns look lovely allover the lid and the dark brown is a great liner colour, especially in the outer corners. I was expecting the eye shadows to be very long lasting and I am not disappointed. All shades stay in place all day looking absolutely perfect! I am very impressed with that. There is no product fallout when I am applying the eye shadows and they are very easy to blend. The applicators are very well made and perfect for blending and shading, so I didn't need to use eye shadow brushes.
Overall, I love this palette. It allows me to create beautiful and sophisticated eye makeup. It will suit any age and skin tone and would also make a beautiful gift.

You can buy it online from www.clarins.co.uk or from Clarins counters.

Autumn make-up picks and FOTD

Hi everyone,
I can't believe it is autumn already!
I quite like colder months, because I have an excuse to wear cosy jumpers, cardigans and thick knitted socks :) It is also an excuse to buy some new makeup or shop the stash :)
I picked a couple of things I personally think will be perfect for fall and I also created my autumn look with them. My favourite must be the Korres lip butter in wild rose- it is such a beautiful shade and it is very moisturising. If I want even more colour I use the Lip Boom by MUA in a shade called It's a situation. It is a warm and deep burgundy shade with a matte finish, but it isn't drying and it applies beautifully. I will review it separately this week.
I also picked the MUA Heaven & Earth palette, because I absolutely love all the neutral, earthy shades and I think they are perfect for Autumn. I can't live without blushers and as soon as the summer is over I go for darker shades on my cheeks. I picked the Liz Earle Blusher in Peony for this look and I will be wearing it very often for the next couple of months :) The last thing I am loving at the moment is a mineral eyeshadow by Inika in shade Gold Dust- it is a gorgeous shimmering gold colour and it looks perfect in the inner corner or allover the lid.
In colder months I go for medium to full coverage, so I will be using foundations like: Liz Earle, Lancome Teint Miracle and Vichy Dermablend. I will review the last one soon, because it is my saviour when I have breakouts.

What are your autumn picks this year? I would love to hear some recommendations.

Cute gifts for a beauty blogger

Hi everyone.

You might think that it is too early to write about Christmas gift ideas, but in my opinion it is never to early for that :) I actually bought some presents for this year at the beginning of 2012, so I don't need to worry about it and rush to get last minute shopping done. I am not very organised or anything, but I like to buy presents a couple of months early. I've been thinking about this years gifts for christmas already and I have no idea what to get for my husband! I always look at websites with gadgets and computers, because he is obsessed with technology, but this type of stuff is very expensive so I have to save for months to get him something he actually likes. I also buy some small gifts for him from websites like Getting Personal. It is a website offering a selection of  personalised and unusual gifts for Him and Her, but there is also a section with items for kids :) I really like the idea of personalised gifts and cards and I buy them very often for my family members and also get these from my husband sometimes :)

After looking at all the gifts, I thought that it will be a good idea to do a little guide about presents for beauty bloggers.
I found many items I would love to get and I am sure that everybody who loves beauty would enjoy them too. First of all- gift sets with bath bombs, soaps and bath melts. Everybody loves bath time treats and they always make a perfect gift. The most popular place for bath bombs is Lush, but their gift sets are very expensive, so I rarely these.
The ones I featured are very pocket friendly and a good size. I also found cute cupcake lip balms and a hand cream and little owl lip balms. They look so lovely :)

Would you be happy to receive any of the gifts I featured?
