CIATE PAINT POTS with swatches

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a lovely Sunday. You are probably in your bed when I  am writing this :) I was kindly sent some Ciate Paint Pots* to review including a base coat and a top coat. I am in love with the creamy formula of Ciate nail polishes and the colours are beautiful. My favourite must be Apples & Custard (the mint green one). I will be reviewing all of them separately in my NOTD series, so you can see how gorgeous the colours are with loads of pictures :) I love the design and the cute bow on each bottle. Have you ever tried Ciate?

NOTD: Essence Vampire's Love in shadeTrue Love

I will be doing quite a lot of nail polish posts on the blog this month, because I got asked to do more nail art and NOTD's. Your wish is my command, so I am starting to swatch my collection :)

The nail polish collection post is on its way as requested as well. It is a picture heavy post and I really don't know when I will be able to publish it. I am soooo behind with my beauty reviews.

The nail polish I am wearing today is by Essence and it is from the Vampire's Love collection. The shade is called True Love. Stunning purple with micro shimmer. I am in love!

NAIL ROCK NAIL WRAPS- First attempt

I have seen so many disaster attempts of nail wrapping that I wasn't surprised that my first attempt didn't go too well :) I started with my pinky and it looks quite good, my ring finger is ok too, but the rest of my nails don't look good at all. Obviously I need practice, because I have seen many beautiful nail wrap manicures and they were perfect.  The design I got would be perfect for a festival or as a fun manicure for a party.
NAIL ROCK RAVE NATION NAIL WRAPS* £6.70 link
"Rave nation nail wrap collection featuring a selection of on-trend bright yellow with smiley faces, the nail wraps have a new adhesive backing to ensure for an easy application. Simply peel off the backing, trim to fit the nail if necessary, press firmly onto the nail and file away any excess"

I really need more practice with nail wraps, I have got two other designs and I will be updating you soon with my next attempt. The set comes with 16 nail shaped wraps to fit different nail sizes, a nail file to trim the excess wrap, a wooden stick and a wipe to prepare your nails. The application took me 10 minutes and the two nails I actually managed to do properly are still in perfect condition and look exactly the way they looked yesterday. I will let you know how long they lasted on my nails in my next post. It says that they can last up to 10 days if done perfectly.
Don't take me seriously, please :) haha

there is one tiny crease on my pinky but I managed to smooth it out later.

L'Occitane summer essentials: Angelica Hydration Face Mist and UV Shield + Cherry Blossom EDT review

I absolutely love L'Occitane products and after trying  a couple of things from the Pivoine Delicate range I fell in love with this brand and bought a couple of body butters and some other goodies from their online store. Today I would like to mention three  L'Occitane Summer Essentials.
I am afraid that British summer is over and we won't be sunbathing in our gardens again this year, but I really wanted to share my thoughts with you. I am going on holiday in September and I will be taking these with me.

ANGELICA UV SHIELD SPF 40 30ml* £25.00 link
"Made with organic angelica from the DrĂ´me region of France, the Angelica UV Shield SPF 40 efficiently protects skin from the harmful effects of the sun (UVA/UVB). With its light and silk smooth texture, this face fluid helps preserve skin’s vitality. After use, skin is immediately moisturised and revitalised. With continued use, skin is plumped, smoothed and radiant. Suitable for all skin types. Dermatologically tested. Non-comedogenic."

I am all about sun protection and I try to use moisturisers and make-up products with SPF, but all the foundations I use have got very low SPF and it isn't enough for me. I like to use high filters, like 30, 40 or 50 on my face. The Angelica UV shield is the lightest formula I have ever tried. It is quite runny, but it doesn't matter, it is actually a good thing to me, as it absorbs quicker and doesn't leave a residue.
It smells amazing, like the rest of the Angelica range. It doesn't  have the typical SPF scent.
It leaves my skin smooth, protected and also works well as a primer. I use a tiny amount on my face and neck and I can see the results immediately, my face looks more radiant and feels soft to the touch.
This product does everything it says on the tin! It is perfect for summer and also as an all year round moisturiser. I actually love the name of it :) it makes me feel like it will protect my skin better than any other product :)

ANGELICA HYDRATION FACE MIST 100ml* £15.00 link
"The Angelica Hydration Face Mist instantly refreshes and hydrates the skin at any moment of the day: in the city, on an airplane, at the beach, or after exercising. This mist can be used after the Angelica Cleansing Gel to complete your daily cleansing routine. The Angelica Hydration Face Mist can also be applied to achieve a long-lasting make-up finish."

This product is a must have for summer! I can't believe I used to live without it. I don't want to sound overenthusiastic, but I am obsessed with it and I will be buying my next bottle as soon as this one runs out.  It is so refreshing! Imagine the feeling of a cool mist on your face, when you are feeling hot on a very sunny day... it is an amazing feeling.  It can be applied anytime, on clean skin, over make-up, before bed, in the morning. I didn't expect it to work wonders as a finishing spray for setting make-up, but it is an amazing setting spray. If I spray it on my face in the morning and mid-afternoon it keeps my make-up in place all day, looking fresh and more natural. It seems to make my foundation look more dewy (I like it) and adds a nice glow to my skin. I can't recommend it enough and I am sure you will love it as much as I do and I think that £15 is a reasonable price for such a great multi-purpose product.

CHERRY BLOSSOM EDT 50ml* £29.00 link
"A soft, fresh and floral subtle fragrance with cherry, freesia and blackcurrant top notes."
When it comes to summer fragrances I love fruity and citrusy scents. I don't want to pretend that I know about perfumes and can name all the notes. I will leave it to the experts. I can tell you that it smells lovely, light, floral and fruity and makes me feel very summery, even on a rainy day. I can definitely recognize notes of Cherry Blossom and Freesia. It is a subtle, girly fragrance, perfect for a Holiday or for everyday wear. It isn't too sweet and it stays on for about 4 hours. The bottle is gorgeous with a beautiful cherry blossom detail and would make a perfect gift. I keep it in my bag and it fits perfectly into the side pocket. (It makes me appreciate the design even more).

ESSIE NO PRE-NUP

I haven't done NOTD posts for over a week, because I wanted to keep my nails looking natural and give them a well deserved break. This week I want to show you swatches of some nail polishes I added to my collection. Although Essie No Pre-Nup  is a perfect pink shade for a french manicure, to get an opaque finish I needed 4 coats! This bottle came in a set and I knew that I won't be in love with the formula and coverage, but I bought it anyway... :)
It is a beautiful pale pink and the finish is very glossy, but I absolutely hate painting my nails with 4 coats! 2 coats for me is the maximum, anymore than that takes too long to dry and I don't want to spend an hour on painting my nails with one colour.

I really want to try more nail polishes from Essie, but I want the same colour outcome and formula as Mint Candy Apple. Any recommendations?

BRIGHT RED NOTD- ESSIE POUF DADDY (533)

I purchased 3 Essie nail polishes from TKmaxx a couple of weeks ago (for £9.99) and I fell in love with the bright red one called... Pouf Daddy :)

The formula is streak free, gives a super glossy finish and two coats create the perfect red I've been looking for.
I also love it on my toe nails :) It looks lovely on pale or tanned skin and it is a gorgeous feminine shade.

Are you a fan of red nails?

NYR Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Beauty Sleep Concentrate review

I like to change my skincare routine quite often and add new discoveries to it , so I was very excited to try two new products from Neal's Yard RemediesI've been using the Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Beauty Sleep Concentrate for 4 weeks and I am ready to share my thoughts with you.

Beauty Sleep CONCENTRATE 30ml* £30.00 link

I really like the  light formula of this night time moisturiser. The packaging says that you need to apply 3-4  pumps of it to your skin, I only needed 2 pumps and it was enough for my full face. It feels great on my skin and I use it on it's own or after using Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate or Jason Hyper-C serum. Sometimes I actually use 3 of them together.  The concentrate is absorbed in a couple of seconds and leaves my skin smelling absolutely beautiful. The scent is very soothing and I really like the way it makes me feel before bedtime. In the morning I wake up with rejuvenated, smooth, plumper looking skin. The concentrate works it's magic while I sleep :) I can definitely see the benefits and I don't need to worry that it will make my T-zone oily, as it is suitable for all skin types. If you are looking for an effective, lightweight night time moisturiser, this one is perfect!

Wild Rose Beauty Balm 50g* £32.25 link

I was very intrigued by this product and I wasn't sure if it will be something I enjoy using. I left it sitting on my dressing table for over  a week before I tried it, but as soon as I used it, I fell in love.
It is a very thick balm packed with natural ingredients. You can use it as a cleanser, exfoliant, mask or a moisturiser. I tried all the above and more :) You can actually have an "at home facial" with this little jar and your skin will feel amazing!

It smells heavenly and helps me relax. My favourite use for it must be a face mask, I scoop a little bit of the balm out of the jar, massage into clean skin, leave it on for 10 minutes and remove with the muslin cloth provided. My skin feels super smooth and looks very fresh after each use.
If I don't have any eye-make up on, I use a tiny amount of the balm as a make-up remover and a gentle exfoliator - I like the 2 in 1 action :)   I also like to use it on my elbows, knees and other dry patches on my body and it works really well.

I need ta mention that I am a big fan of NYR packaging, the beautiful blue jars and bottles are 100% recyclable and the glass NYR uses is made from Scottish sand, Yorkshire limestone and soda ash from Cheshire.

Overall, I am impressed with both products and I really enjoy using them. NYR definitely gets massive 'thumbs up' from me and I will be investing in more of their products in the future.
